The Georgians
An explorative workshop that answers the question, Who were the Georgian’s?
- Discover different jobs that were available in Georgian times.
- Create freeze frames to symbolise the development of people through the Georgian period.
- Create adverts to highlight key points of the Georgian era.
Learning objectives:
To understand an aspect of history beyond 1066.
To explore the timeline of Georgian Britain.
To develop a good understanding of the Georgian Royal Family and how people lived during Georgian times.
To consider changes that had to be made during the Georgian times.

The children really enjoyed the sessions. I wasn't sure how it would work online, but Rachel held their attention extremely well. She was calm and clear with her instructions and made sure that everyone had a chance to speak. They were all involved and joined in with the activities and said that was the best time ever.
The children enjoyed all of the activities, particularly using their imaginations to act out the story of The Snail and the Whale. They loved learning about opposites and teamwork, and used their listening skills to recreate freeze frames.
Hannah is always full of energy and fully engages the children.
Hannah was, as always, engaging, enthusiastic and informative. What a wonderful way to kick-start our pupil's learning about Florence Nightingale!

Holly was absolutely amazing carrying out Healthy Me' workshop. She engaged the classes and questioned them on their knowledge learnt so far. The children had such fun and learnt a great rap!
The children learnt a lot and enjoyed it too. I liked the way the leader went through events first and then broke them down in detail and then the children acted it out. Great behaviour management too.
Please pass on our thanks to India for working hard with all the classes. She was very enthusiastic and the children all enjoyed participating. She observed social distancing and I would be happy to recommend.
Children were engaged and interested throughout - Hannah gave clear instructions and guidance to inspire the pupils, there was a real buzz in school afterwards!
Katie was fantastic. Even over Zoom. She really brought the topic to life. The children in class loved it and I could see the children at home were enjoying themselves too.
We thought Bethany delivered an excellent workshop on anti bullying. It was relevant to the age of the children and explained well about what bullying is (and isn't) and made good links to the worries they have with friends on the playground.
