Bringing learning to life through drama
Whether you’re looking for a fresh angle on a traditional topic, a fun weekly after school club or an inspiring INSET on using drama in the classroom, a visit from Perform For Schools could be the answer.
Perform For Schools is the primary school division of Perform - the UK's leading provider of drama, dance and singing workshops for 4-12 year olds.
Every week, over 5000 children attend Perform after-school and weekend workshops at venues across London, the South East and South West. The classes focus on developing confidence and social skills in a fun and lively way via the performing arts. With over 15 years of experience, all our teachers are recruited, DBS and reference-checked, trained and employed directly by us. So, you can be confident that your pupils will be in the very best of hands.
Perform For Schools offer:
Foundation, KS1 and KS2 National Curriculum Explorer Workshops: These popular workshops use children’s natural love of drama, role-play and improvisation to spark their imaginations and stimulate their interest in Foundation, KS1 and KS2 topics. They are available for a wide range of subjects and each one is closely aligned to the National Curriculum. Explorers use imaginative creative resources, performing arts-based exercises and role-play scenarios to provide a new look at traditional subjects.
Easy to set up After School Clubs: individually designed weekly workshops running throughout the term based on a range of themes and designed to help develop confidence and communication skills.
Inspiring Creative Learning and Literacy INSETS: developed to provide a useful set of skills, best practices and resources on the use of drama to inspire creative ways of teaching across the curriculum.
The sessions were really interactive! Carl delivered the sessions brilliantly and the children really enjoyed them.
I thought Oliver controlled the sessions really well and the girls really had fun. He also varied what he did with each each age group.
Excellent control of the children using her voice and clear expectations of behaviour.
I am very grateful fo the continuing high quality of provision on offer. The children are always enthusiastic about the sessions
Ashley engaged the children. We were very impressed with the knowledge he had and his management skills. We would definitely use him again and do book workshops yearly.
The children thoroughly enjoyed the session with Chloe and were still talking about it at the beginning of the following week too. She spoke to them at a level appropriate for Year 1 pupils and made sure all students were engaged in the drama activities.
Kayleigh was fantastic all day for our workshops! Despite running four workshops for our Reception classes, she was energetic and enthusiastic in equal measure! I had nothing but praise and positive comments from the rest of my staff as well as all of the children. They really enjoyed their workshops throughout the day and as a school we would like to say a big thank you to Kayleigh!
P.S. Can we have you again next year?!
Confident, engaging and involved all children even those who spoke no English! Thank you
Feedback from all teachers was really positive. The sessions were brilliantly paced and levelled at the children’s age group very well.
Lauren was very professional and engaging. She engaged children who usually find it tricky to concentrate for extended periods of time.
