Bringing learning to life through drama

What teachers say

Whether you’re looking for a fresh angle on a traditional topic, a fun weekly after school club or an inspiring INSET on using drama in the classroom,  a visit from Perform For Schools could be the answer.

Perform For Schools is the primary school division of Perform - the UK's leading provider of drama, dance and singing workshops for 4-12 year olds.

Every week, over 5000 children attend Perform after-school and weekend workshops at venues across London, the South East and South West. The classes focus on developing confidence and social skills in a fun and lively way via the performing arts. With over 15 years of experience, all our teachers are recruited, DBS and reference-checked, trained and employed directly by us.  So, you can be confident that your pupils will be in the very best of hands.

Perform For Schools offer:

Foundation, KS1 and KS2 National Curriculum Explorer Workshops: These popular workshops use children’s natural love of drama, role-play and improvisation to spark their imaginations and stimulate their interest in Foundation, KS1 and KS2 topics. They are available for a wide range of subjects and each one is closely aligned to the National Curriculum. Explorers use imaginative creative resources, performing arts-based exercises and role-play scenarios to provide a new look at traditional subjects.

Easy to set up After School Clubs: individually designed weekly workshops running throughout the term based on a range of themes and designed to help develop confidence and communication skills.

Inspiring Creative Learning and Literacy INSETS: developed to provide a useful set of skills, best practices and resources on the use of drama to inspire creative ways of teaching across the curriculum.

All the feedback I have had from the class teachers is that they were very impressed with the workshops, both the content and knowledge of the leader. In my opinion what is a very sensitive subject was handled with care and appropriate sensitivity. Great workshops!

– Ms. M Bessant

The children and staff were absolutely buzzing after the workshop thanks to Rhia.

– Mrs T Thomas

Laura arrived in good time and carried out a fantastic days worth of workshops with all classes. In talking to the team every class really enjoyed the workshop. The workshop really fitted in with our history week and the children took a lot from it.

– Laura Matier - North Farnborough Infant School

Excellent awareness of the children very quickly. Good behaviour management strategies. Everyone enjoyed the sessions

– Suzie Cawson - Walsh Memorial

Great activities that the children loved.

Good control of the children at all times as a teacher I never felt the class was getting out of hand even though they were very excited.

– Ms. A Allsop

As usual, brilliant.

– Maggie Bland - St Aubyns

I thought Oliver controlled the sessions really well and the girls really had fun. He also varied what he did with each each age group.

– Pauline Azhar - Burgess Hill School

Hannah's conduct with both staff and pupils alike could not be faulted. The children were engaged from start to finish and even brought the very shy out of their shell. This is the first time the school has had a workshop of this kind but it definitely wont be the last. The children thoroughly enjoyed the experience and hot them buzzing about books on World Book Day. Thank you very much.

– Ms. A Ferdinand

Confident, engaging and involved all children even those who spoke no English! Thank you

– Ms. C Margrave

Very positive feedback from all classes, the children loved their sessions. Rhia's behaviour management was super and the children all thoroughly enjoyed their workshops and were included equally regardless of learning need. A perfect way to reinforce our current circus topic!
