Bringing learning to life through drama

What teachers say

Whether you’re looking for a fresh angle on a traditional topic, a fun weekly after school club or an inspiring INSET on using drama in the classroom,  a visit from Perform For Schools could be the answer.

Perform For Schools is the primary school division of Perform - the UK's leading provider of drama, dance and singing workshops for 4-12 year olds.

Every week, over 5000 children attend Perform after-school and weekend workshops at venues across London, the South East and South West. The classes focus on developing confidence and social skills in a fun and lively way via the performing arts. With over 15 years of experience, all our teachers are recruited, DBS and reference-checked, trained and employed directly by us.  So, you can be confident that your pupils will be in the very best of hands.

Perform For Schools offer:

Foundation, KS1 and KS2 National Curriculum Explorer Workshops: These popular workshops use children’s natural love of drama, role-play and improvisation to spark their imaginations and stimulate their interest in Foundation, KS1 and KS2 topics. They are available for a wide range of subjects and each one is closely aligned to the National Curriculum. Explorers use imaginative creative resources, performing arts-based exercises and role-play scenarios to provide a new look at traditional subjects.

Easy to set up After School Clubs: individually designed weekly workshops running throughout the term based on a range of themes and designed to help develop confidence and communication skills.

Inspiring Creative Learning and Literacy INSETS: developed to provide a useful set of skills, best practices and resources on the use of drama to inspire creative ways of teaching across the curriculum.

The children and staff were absolutely buzzing after the workshop thanks to Rhia.

– Mrs T Thomas

Children went away buzzing from the workshop, an enjoyable session. Thank you from Year 2 TH

– Mrs Mascarenhas

Marie was absolutely fantastic. We have used these workshops before and they have been great but Marie was something else. All of the children in the year group had so much fun and gained so much from the workshop. It was a delight to see children that are not normally comfortable/confident at doing things like this really coming out of themselves - this is all down to Marie and the delivery of her workshop. She is clearly perfect for her role and the children all felt very comfortable around her.

Hannah's conduct with both staff and pupils alike could not be faulted. The children were engaged from start to finish and even brought the very shy out of their shell. This is the first time the school has had a workshop of this kind but it definitely wont be the last. The children thoroughly enjoyed the experience and hot them buzzing about books on World Book Day. Thank you very much.

– Ms. A Ferdinand

The children thoroughly enjoyed themselves and the staff attending were very impressed too! How Emily had each child captivated and fully immersed in the experience was lovely to see. A truly fabulous morning!

– Ms. C Sharps

The team have been so helpful in sending through all relevant information prior to workshop. Luke was punctual, and very professional. Friendly and approachable

He engaged well with the younger children and they all had lots of fun! Everything ran very smoothly.

– Amy Tucker

The sessions were super fun and interactive. Some children were reluctant to join the session, but came bounding out afterwards saying how much they had enjoyed it! Thank you!

– Ms. S Cripps

The children really enjoyed the active workshop and the leader was enthusiastic, knowledgeable and had great behaviour management!

– Miss L Mcloughlin

Laura was really engaging and informative. Laura also had great behaviour management which meant the children were excited, but that this didn't get in the way of any learning!

– Miss R Smith

It was very involved all children were very animated and loved all the actions and remembered lots of clear facts they had learnt about the Great Fire of London.
