Bringing learning to life through drama

What teachers say

Whether you’re looking for a fresh angle on a traditional topic, a fun weekly after school club or an inspiring INSET on using drama in the classroom,  a visit from Perform For Schools could be the answer.

Perform For Schools is the primary school division of Perform - the UK's leading provider of drama, dance and singing workshops for 4-12 year olds.

Every week, over 5000 children attend Perform after-school and weekend workshops at venues across London, the South East and South West. The classes focus on developing confidence and social skills in a fun and lively way via the performing arts. With over 15 years of experience, all our teachers are recruited, DBS and reference-checked, trained and employed directly by us.  So, you can be confident that your pupils will be in the very best of hands.

Perform For Schools offer:

Foundation, KS1 and KS2 National Curriculum Explorer Workshops: These popular workshops use children’s natural love of drama, role-play and improvisation to spark their imaginations and stimulate their interest in Foundation, KS1 and KS2 topics. They are available for a wide range of subjects and each one is closely aligned to the National Curriculum. Explorers use imaginative creative resources, performing arts-based exercises and role-play scenarios to provide a new look at traditional subjects.

Easy to set up After School Clubs: individually designed weekly workshops running throughout the term based on a range of themes and designed to help develop confidence and communication skills.

Inspiring Creative Learning and Literacy INSETS: developed to provide a useful set of skills, best practices and resources on the use of drama to inspire creative ways of teaching across the curriculum.

After speaking to the teachers, they all agree that the workshops were excellent. Hannah kept the children engaged throughout the session. The children that I spoke to after thoroughly enjoyed their sessions.

Staff were VERY impressed with Lucy's professionalism, content of workshop and the way she interacted and controlled the children. The children loved every minute, their attention was held perfectly and they talked about it for most of the afternoon. All the children and staff say THANK YOU

– Tina Sharman - Southville Infant & Nursery

It was very involved all children were very animated and loved all the actions and remembered lots of clear facts they had learnt about the Great Fire of London.

– Mrs G Hewitt

Professionally delivered and enthusiastically received by children and teachers alike :)

– Julie Perrin

Content was very relevant to our current topic. The introduction of new vocabulary was done seamlessly.

– Mr M Patterson

On behalf of all the children and teachers we would like to thank you for such an amazing time. The children were totally buzzing after the experience.

– Mrs Holcombe

Evie really enjoys the class. I particularly like the emails Amy sends out following each class to parents telling us what the children have focused on.

– Ms Katie Innis

Natalie is really amazing and we thoroughly enjoy having her in school. She really engages the children and the variety of things she does within one session is wonderful.

Thank you so much Natalie. The children learnt so much and really remembered so many facts!

– Ms. M Enoch

I would like to recommend the Angry Arthur workshop to all KS1 classes, not just those who are experiencing anger issues. The PSHE element was strong, with children being encouraged to identify and express a whole range of emotions. Rachel's story-telling and antics had the pupils enthralled and her management of their behaviour was excellent.

– Jenny Lucas - Albury Primary

Feedback from all teachers was really positive. The sessions were brilliantly paced and levelled at the children’s age group very well.
