What teachers say

Most teachers find out about Perform For Schools via word of mouth and we are always looking for feedback and comments to help us improve what we do. Here are some of the most recent comments we have received about our topic-based Explorer workshops, After School Clubs and INSET workshops.

Worked really well having three workshops in the morning, very good value for money, all teachers agreed Jess was amazing. Looking forward to having you visit next year.

– Debbie Murphy - ACS Hillingdon International School

As always all 3 workshops were high quality. We were delighted with the amount of history knowledge the leader had. She brought fantastic new learning for the children. Thank you so much.

– Mrs N Thickpenny

As always, the children really enjoyed the workshops. They came back to class buzzing about their experiences and the theme which linked in well with our literacy festival theme. We always enjoy having the Perform Team in at our school.

– Ms. B Thakker

Very good introduction to life in Celtic Britain and The Romans. Caitlin clearly knew her stuff and controlled three separate classes perfectly.

She knew how to use drama to tease out knowledge!

– Mr D Brookes

Laura was great at tailoring each session to the children in it, they were various ages/abilities and different group sizes. She was friendly, flexible and professional. Thank you for a great day!

– Ms A Kelly

The children really enjoyed the sessions. I wasn't sure how it would work online, but Rachel held their attention extremely well. She was calm and clear with her instructions and made sure that everyone had a chance to speak. They were all involved and joined in with the activities and said that was the best time ever.

– Mrs K Thurston

All 4 year groups thoroughly enjoyed the sessions. They were all super engaged.

The session was inclusive and allowed our SEND pupils to access and enjoy the session.

Hannah was great!

– Michelle Wilson

I was impressed particularly with the high level of vocabulary used. Zelia did not 'talk down' to the children at all. Great active workshop, especially the group work needed to create the dinosaur shapes.

– Jane Robson - The Hill Primary

The students loved the workshop and the teachers felt it was a fantastic way of getting into the topic of Diwali.

– Bronwyn Harrison - The American School in London

Lauren was really inspiring both for children and teachers. All workshops were pitched well and we all thoroughly enjoyed the morning. Thank you!

– Ms. S Salerno

Natalie was such an inspiration. All our children absolutely loved their personalised workshops and they were a brilliant hook to our new topics. Thank you!

– Ms. F Pretty

The session was pitched at the perfect level and all the children were engaged through out. All members of staff were impressed with what the children have remembered from the workshop.

– Ms. H Crawford

The children were so engaged and the subject knowledge was impressive. The children felt confident and relaxed to take part and join in. Laura's behaviour management was super and dealt with behavioural issues fantastically! Thank you so much for a super start to our Science Week!

Thank you Natalie (and Perform for schools) for more great drama workshops - they are enjoyed so much by the children and we are always so impressed with the quality of the teaching and content. We look forward to booking more soon!

A huge thank you to Natalie! The children had the most amazing morning and loved learning with her. She was so engaging and enthusiastic; we all had so much fun!

– Mrs. K Fisher

Lucy was very engaging and the children loved the workshop. She kept their attention for the whole hour and a quarter. The workshop will be very useful for generating ideas for their Great Fire of London poetry next week.

– Ms S Foot

Really surprised that a theme like Shakespeare could work so well with both the younger and older groups.

– Kathy Foley - Discovery Summer Queen's Gate

The children had the best time and it was absolutely brilliant. Hannah's enthusiasm and energy is inspiring - at the end I had my own children joining in.

– Mr S Mccann

Lauren was wonderful. The workshops were engaging, encouraging and energetic. The girls were hooked and focused throughout. They loved working on improvisation and characterization and the singing was fabulous.

– Ms. O Green

Claire led a very informative workshop and the children took home the message that she taught them. They particularly like the poem!

– Mrs N Payne

All the children loved the workshop, Emily was amazing at transforming herself into different characters that brought the topic alive.

– Penny Macfarlane - Longacre School

Chloe was really engaging the children loved it. She kept them intrigued just by her voice and there was a good mix of activities. The pace was good, as was her use of questions. Overall, really good. The children really enjoyed it.

Chloe was brilliant with the children and the children who had special needs.
