Summer 2024 - Fairytales and Fables
From April to July 2024, as part of our popular Drama for All project, we are offering FREE theatre-in-education sessions to selected primary schools based on Fairytales and Fables.
Guided by a DBS-checked actor/drama teacher appearing in role as the Funky Fairy, we will celebrate the magic of stories and ignite imaginations as we bring to life a range of well-known fairytales.
Incorporating fun games, catchy songs and characterful improvisations, the children will climb Rapunzel's Tower, fly on a unicorn and discover a beanstalk before bravely entering The Red Queen's castle, ensuring of course that everyone lives Happily Ever After.
Each workshop is designed to enrich the curriculum across Communication and Language, PHSE, Expressive Arts, Music and English and lasts 25-30 minutes.
These workshops are extremely popular and are booked on a first come first served basis.

My Reception class absolutely loved the workshop. Kate held their attention from start to finish.

My class absolutely loved it! The lady that was running the workshop had them in the palm of her hand. The theme was lovely (especially as we had been reading Mr Majeika books) and they were all totally engaged – even my quieter ones!

Rhia was amazing! As a teacher I found her inspiring and my class loved the session. They were very engaged and her group control strategies were very effective. The subject matter was spot on as we are currently looking at 'castles.'
