Bringing learning to life through drama

What teachers say

Whether you’re looking for a fresh angle on a traditional topic, a fun weekly after school club or an inspiring INSET on using drama in the classroom,  a visit from Perform For Schools could be the answer.

Perform For Schools is the primary school division of Perform - the UK's leading provider of drama, dance and singing workshops for 4-12 year olds.

Every week, over 5000 children attend Perform after-school and weekend workshops at venues across London, the South East and South West. The classes focus on developing confidence and social skills in a fun and lively way via the performing arts. With over 15 years of experience, all our teachers are recruited, DBS and reference-checked, trained and employed directly by us.  So, you can be confident that your pupils will be in the very best of hands.

Perform For Schools offer:

Foundation, KS1 and KS2 National Curriculum Explorer Workshops: These popular workshops use children’s natural love of drama, role-play and improvisation to spark their imaginations and stimulate their interest in Foundation, KS1 and KS2 topics. They are available for a wide range of subjects and each one is closely aligned to the National Curriculum. Explorers use imaginative creative resources, performing arts-based exercises and role-play scenarios to provide a new look at traditional subjects.

Easy to set up After School Clubs: individually designed weekly workshops running throughout the term based on a range of themes and designed to help develop confidence and communication skills.

Inspiring Creative Learning and Literacy INSETS: developed to provide a useful set of skills, best practices and resources on the use of drama to inspire creative ways of teaching across the curriculum.

The sessions were super fun and interactive. Some children were reluctant to join the session, but came bounding out afterwards saying how much they had enjoyed it! Thank you!

– Ms. S Cripps

Hannah led five different workshops today and I received positive feedback from all five teachers. Staff thought the sessions were excellent and they really supported the children with their understanding of each text. Hannah was skilled at engaging all pupils and including pupils with special education needs in each session.

– Ms. H Robertson

Feedback from all teachers was really positive. The sessions were brilliantly paced and levelled at the children’s age group very well.

– Ms. A Coy

Hannah's conduct with both staff and pupils alike could not be faulted. The children were engaged from start to finish and even brought the very shy out of their shell. This is the first time the school has had a workshop of this kind but it definitely wont be the last. The children thoroughly enjoyed the experience and hot them buzzing about books on World Book Day. Thank you very much.

– Ms. A Ferdinand

Lewis was really good with the children and pitched it age appropriately! He had a strong presence and the children listened well. He was good with behaviour management meaning all children were focused. All children enjoyed the workshop and feedback from teachers was all very positive.
