Nations of the World

Celebrating the 2022 FIFA World Cup

From 21st November to 18th December, countries of the world will come together in Qatar for one of the biggest sporting tournaments in the world. At Perform, we will be celebrating with an adventure across the globe.

Learning objectives:

  • To learn about different cultures and environments
  • To understand the importance of understanding and empathy
  • To recognise diversity around the world

The children really enjoyed the sessions. I wasn't sure how it would work online, but Rachel held their attention extremely well. She was calm and clear with her instructions and made sure that everyone had a chance to speak. They were all involved and joined in with the activities and said that was the best time ever.

– Mrs K Thurston

The children enjoyed all of the activities, particularly using their imaginations to act out the story of The Snail and the Whale. They loved learning about opposites and teamwork, and used their listening skills to recreate freeze frames.

– Miss J Smith

Hannah is always full of energy and fully engages the children.

– Ms. T Marquand

Hannah was, as always, engaging, enthusiastic and informative. What a wonderful way to kick-start our pupil's learning about Florence Nightingale!

Thank you!

– Mr M Lavery

Holly was absolutely amazing carrying out Healthy Me' workshop. She engaged the classes and questioned them on their knowledge learnt so far. The children had such fun and learnt a great rap!

– Ms. S Parish

The children learnt a lot and enjoyed it too. I liked the way the leader went through events first and then broke them down in detail and then the children acted it out. Great behaviour management too.

– Mrs G Hewitt

Please pass on our thanks to India for working hard with all the classes. She was very enthusiastic and the children all enjoyed participating. She observed social distancing and I would be happy to recommend.

– Ms. L Downes

Children were engaged and interested throughout - Hannah gave clear instructions and guidance to inspire the pupils, there was a real buzz in school afterwards!

– Ms. F Sinsbury

Katie was fantastic. Even over Zoom. She really brought the topic to life. The children in class loved it and I could see the children at home were enjoying themselves too.

– Mr D Parris

We thought Bethany delivered an excellent workshop on anti bullying. It was relevant to the age of the children and explained well about what bullying is (and isn't) and made good links to the worries they have with friends on the playground.

Thank you very much!

– Mrs J Pipe

The World Cup has disappeared! We will visit all of the qualifying countries to see if we can find it. By learning about different cultures and environments, as well as how to speak to fellow comeptitors and fans, the children will prove that understanding and empathy helps to bring the nations together.

This workshop is suitable for KS1 and Ks2.
