Autumn 2020 - Fairytales and Fables

From Septemberl to December 2020, as part of our popular Perform4ALL project we are offering FREE performing arts-based sessions to selected primary schools.

The workshop will be guided by an experienced DBS-checked actor/drama teacher appearing in character as the Funky Fairy. Incorporating fun games, catchy songs and characterful improvisations, the children will discover the true spirit of fairytales where everyone learns a valuable lesson and 'good' triumphs over 'evil'.

On the way, they'll climb Rapunzel's Tower, fly on a unicorn and climb a beanstalk before bravely entering The Wicked Queen's castle and making sure that everyone lives Happily Ever After.

These creative learning workshops are an ideal introduction to the performing arts or as a fun treat for the children. Each 25 minute workshop is led by a DBS checked  teacher and is specially formulated for children in Nursery,  Reception, Year 1, Year 2 and Year 3.

These workshops are extremely popular and are booked on a first come first served basis. To book your school’s FREE Fairytales and Fables workshop, complete our online form

The sessions were super fun and interactive. Some children were reluctant to join the session, but came bounding out afterwards saying how much they had enjoyed it! Thank you!

Hannah led five different workshops today and I received positive feedback from all five teachers. Staff thought the sessions were excellent and they really supported the children with their understanding of each text. Hannah was skilled at engaging all pupils and including pupils with special education needs in each session.

– Ms. H Robertson

Feedback from all teachers was really positive. The sessions were brilliantly paced and levelled at the children’s age group very well.

– Ms. A Coy

Hannah's conduct with both staff and pupils alike could not be faulted. The children were engaged from start to finish and even brought the very shy out of their shell. This is the first time the school has had a workshop of this kind but it definitely wont be the last. The children thoroughly enjoyed the experience and hot them buzzing about books on World Book Day. Thank you very much.

Lewis was really good with the children and pitched it age appropriately! He had a strong presence and the children listened well. He was good with behaviour management meaning all children were focused. All children enjoyed the workshop and feedback from teachers was all very positive.
