These exclusive materials ensure every session is fresh, engaging and aligned with our child-centred approach to building confidence and life skills.

Drama, dance and singing classes

Our weekly children's drama classes help children aged 4-12 build confidence and fulfil their potential using our unique mix of drama, dance and singing.

Numbers are kept small to ensure lots of individual attention by our experienced teachers - hand-picked for their warmth, energy and professionalism. They'll focus on your child's enthusiasm and engagement in the activities.

And they'll be with your child every step of the way to guide, inspire and encourage.

FAQs

What age groups are Perform drama classes for?

We offer drama classes for 4-7s and 7-12s.

Are there kids' acting classes for beginners?

Yes absolutely! Perform requires no prior experience in drama, dance or singing. Our classes are a unique mix of games, exercises, songs and dances that every child can enjoy as soon as they start. All we ask for is enthusiasm and an open mind.

What happens in a children's drama class?

As we are centrally run and not a franchise, all of our classes follow the same structure. For 4-7s, that means we start with Move & Feel, move on to Listen, Speak & Sing and finish with Create & Imagine. 7-12s start with Acting & Improvising, proceed to Movement & Dance and conclude with Speech & Singing.

Do children's performing arts classes include drama, dance and singing?

Yes of our 60 minute and 90 minute classes include equal sections for drama, dance and singing.

Are there after school or weekend drama classes for children?

We have classes that run after-school and at weekends.

Can drama classes help my child build confidence?

Yes, Perform specializes in what we call the 4 Cs: Confidence, Concentration, Communication and Coordination. That means that every game or activity we do in the classes has building one of those Cs as its objective.

Do all children get the chance to perform in drama classes?

All of our weekly classes finish the term with a specially-written presentation to family and friends on the last week. Children receive the script for this around half-term and every child is guaranteed a role.

What makes Perform different from other kids acting classes?

The main difference is that, unlike other children's drama schools that focus on perfecting steps, memorizing lines or vocal technique, Perform harnesses children's natural enthusiasm, creativity and teamwork skills to boost their social skills and bring out their potential via the performing arts.

Classes and courses are kept small to ensure lots of individual attention by our expert teachers - hand-picked for their warmth, energy and professionalism. They'll focus on your child's enthusiasm and engagement in the activities. And they'll be with your child every step of the way to guide, inspire and encourage.

As well as having fun at Perform, your child will enjoy real benefits: greater confidence, improved concentration and an increased awareness of what they can achieve.
