1. Number the children and create bunny ears
Give each child a number starting from 1. Ask the children to place two fingers beside their heads to make bunny ears.
2. Start the rhythm
Begin by saying, "Bunny number 1 calling bunny number 5." Bunny number 5 then responds by calling another number, for example, "Bunny number 5 calling bunny number 9."
3. Keep the rhythm going
Encourage the children to pass the call around the circle quickly without breaking the rhythm. They need to listen carefully and remember which bunny numbers are still in the game.
4. Eliminate and continue
If a child pauses for too long, stumbles over the words or breaks the rhythm, they sit down. Continue until only one or two children remain.
This game becomes increasingly challenging as more children are eliminated because the group must remember which bunny numbers are no longer in play. Encourage children to stay calm and focused rather than rushing their responses.
