Hello and welcome to Perform Buckhurst Hill at St John's Church Hall - a new kind of drama school that has child development at its very heart. At Perform, we use drama, dance and singing to build children's social skills and help them grow in confidence so they can fulfil their potential.

We started running classes at St John's Church Hall in January 2012 and are currently here every week during term-time on Tuesdays.

At Perform Buckhurst Hill, the Producer of the classes is Chloe and the Teacher is Lisa. The sessions are looked after by our Area Partner, Jade.

The current term runs from 1st September to 15th December with no sessions on 27th October (half-term).

How to get here and parking:

Drive via Epping New Road (A104) or Epping Road into Buckhurst Hill, turning onto High Road. St John's Church Hall is located along High Road near the junction with Palmerston Road.

An on-site car park is available for visitors at the venue. Additional pay-and-display parking and on-street bays can be found along High Road.

Buckhurst Hill Underground station (Central Line) is roughly a 10-minute walk away. Regular local bus services stop along High Road near the hall.

We spend a lot of time recruiting, training and evaluating our wonderful Area Partners, Producers and Teachers and the team at St John's Church Hall in Buckhurst Hill are no exception. As at all Perform schools, they have all been hand-picked for being enthusiastic, approachable and, of course, fantastic with children. Chloe

I've been part of the Perform team since 2017, combining my passion for performing with my love of teaching. I love helping children build confidence, creativity and self-expression through the magic of our classes. Outside of Perform, I sing in a vocal trio that I founded in 2014, performing across the UK and overseas. I love bringing my experience and passion for singing into every class to inspire the next generation of young performers.

TEACHER

Lisa

I have been teaching for Perform since 2017 after graduating from the American Musical Theatre Academy of London. I love helping children build their confidence, spark their creativity, and have lots of fun! My favourite part of each term is watching our young performers shine at their end of term shows, and seeing how much their confidence has grown. Outside of Perform, I enjoy spending time with my family, baking cakes and having disney movie marathons with my nieces and nephews!

AREA PARTNER

Jade

I trained in Musical Theatre at Midlands Academy Of Dance and Drama I started teaching at Perform back in 2006, and I still absolutely love it today! It's so rewarding to see every child flourish and grow in confidence term by term. I am also a Perform Area Partner, so every day brings a different job! Outside of Perform, you'll usually find me at a football pitch or scooter park watching my children play. I also enjoy reformer Pilates and trips to the theatre.
