Welcome to Perform Kensington at St Stephen's Church Hall. Here in Kensington, we offer drama, dance and singing sessions with a unique focus on fun and child development. Come and try a free class so you can see the benefits for yourself.

We started running classes at St Stephen's Church Hall in April 2021 and are currently here every week during term-time on Saturdays.

At Perform Kensington, the Producer of the classes is Kristin and the Teacher is Amy. The schools are looked after by our Area Partner, Sophie.

The current term runs from 5th September to 12th December.

How to get here and parking:

Drive via Cromwell Road (A4) or Gloucester Road, turning onto Grenville Place or Southwell Gardens toward Emperor's Gate. The church hall is located at 48 Emperor's Gate.

No dedicated parking is provided at the hall. Paid display street parking are available nearby, subject to Kensington and Chelsea borough controls.

Gloucester Road tube station is a short 3-minute walk away. Local bus routes 49 and 74 stop nearby along Gloucester Road and Cromwell Road.

As at all Perform schools, they have all been hand-picked for being enthusiastic, approachable and, of course, fantastic with children. I joined Perform's team in 2021. I love using my experience as a theatre-maker to help create a space where every student feels empowered to explore their imagination. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing a child grow in confidence and find their unique voice in class. When I'm not teaching, you can usually find me travelling or watching the latest theatre shows!

TEACHER

Amy

I started teaching and producing with Perform last term after graduating from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. I am really passionate about the performing arts and I love watching the children's confidence grow in class every week! I grew up loving musical theatre; the first musical I ever watched was Annie when I was 4 years old.

AREA PARTNER

Sophie

I'm a Perform Teacher, Producer and Area Partner. I trained at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School and alongside working for Perform have appeared in many television programmes for the BBC and Channel 4. Recently, I've been in several of the Perform shows in the West End! What I love about teaching for Perform is seeing how much children change during their time with us. It is a joy to see children having so much fun as they are learning!
