Juliet Johnson - Perform Chelmsford parent

A warm welcome to Perform Chelmsford at Beaulieu Community Centre. We offer weekly drama, dance and singing classes for children aged 4-12 using unique songs, dances, games and exercises designed to boost child development.

We started running classes at Beaulieu Community Centre in May 2021 and are currently here every week during term-time on Thursdays.

At Perform Chelmsford, the Producer of the classes is Eleanor and the Teacher is Rosa. The sessions are looked after by our Area Partner, Oliver.

The current term runs from 3rd September to 17th December with no sessions on 29th October (half-term).

How to get here and parking:

From White Hart Lane (A130) or Essex Regiment Way (A130), turn onto Centenary Way into the Beaulieu development. The community centre is situated on your right at Beaulieu Square.

Free car parking is available on site at Beaulieu Square directly adjacent to the community centre. There is a three hour limit.

Regular bus services operate from Chelmsford city centre, stopping directly at Beaulieu Square. Chelmsford railway station is a short bus ride away.

We spend a lot of time recruiting, training and evaluating our wonderful Area Partners, Producers and Teachers and the team at Beaulieu Community Centre in Chelmsford are no exception. As at all Perform schools, they have all been hand-picked for being enthusiastic, approachable and, of course, fantastic with children. As a result, you can be confident that your child is in the best of hands. Here are the details of the Creative Team at this venue:

PRODUCER

Eleanor

I started working for Perform in 2023 and it has been one of my most exciting jobs so far! I joined after moving back to the UK from New Zealand. I love seeing the progression of our children and how their confidence blossoms in class. It's magic! Outside of Perform I regularly perform in pantomimes across the UK, or can be found pet sitting for lots of gorgeous animals!

TEACHER

Rosa

I've been a Teacher at Perform since 2025. I'm constantly inspired by the confidence and creativity the children develop throughout each term, and it's so rewarding to watch them grow both on and off the stage. Alongside teaching, I'm a professional actor, so I love bringing my passion for performance into every class. Outside of Perform, you'll usually find me reading a good book, exploring new places on walks, or heading to the theatre to see a musical!

AREA PARTNER

Oliver

Hi, I'm Oli! I've been with Perform since 2012 and work as an Area Partner, as well as running my own classes. Outside of Perform, I produce theatre shows and work in artist and live event management. Children have an incredible ability to find joy in the world around them, and that's one of the things I love most about my job. As an Area Partner, it's a privilege to support and develop our Teachers, helping even more children celebrate their individuality and discover what they're capable of.
