Welcome to Perform Battersea at Fresh Ground - dedicated to building confidence, concentration, communication and coordination using performing arts.

We started running classes at Fresh Ground in September 2018 and are currently here every week during term-time on Wednesdays.

At Perform Battersea, the Producer of the classes is Rebecca and the Teacher is Isobel. The sessions are looked after by our Area Partner, Sophie.

The current term runs from 2nd September to 16th December with no sessions on 28th October (half-term).

How to get here and parking:

To reach the venue by car, travel via Wandsworth Bridge Road (A217) or Clapham Common North Side (A3), turning onto Battersea Rise (A3220) where the building is located.

On-site parking is not available. Visitors must use local pay-and-display bays on surrounding streets.

Clapham Junction station is less than a ten-minute walk away. Frequent bus services also run along Battersea Rise, stopping very close to the venue.

We spend a lot of time recruiting, training and evaluating our wonderful Area Partners, Producers and Teachers and the team at Fresh Ground in Battersea are no exception. As at all Perform schools, they have all been hand-picked for being enthusiastic, approachable and, of course, fantastic with children. As a result, you can be confident that your child is in the best of hands. Here are the details of the Creative Team at this venue:

Rebecca

I joined Perform's teaching team in 2025 after graduating as an actor musician from Rose Bruford College. I love using my experience as an actor and musician to inspire young people and enjoy seeing how much their confidence grows over a term. Outside of Perform you'll find me making music and playing my guitar.

TEACHER

Isobel

My name is Isobel but students will get to know me quite quickly as Miss Izzy! New to Perform, but a long seven years of teaching children, I am excited to continue to use all my experiences as a professional actor and singer and share the knowledge with the children. Outside of Perform, you will often hear me singing Mamma Mia!

AREA PARTNER

Sophie

I'm a Perform Teacher, Producer and Area Partner. I trained at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School and alongside working for Perform have appeared in many television programmes for the BBC and Channel 4. Recently, I've been in several of the Perform shows in the West End! What I love about teaching for Perform is seeing how much children change during their time with us. It is a joy to see children having so much fun as they are learning!
