At Perform Leigh-On-Sea at St Margaret's Church Hall, our focus is not about teaching rigorous techniques, memorisation and repetition to produce a 'perfect performance'. Instead, we use drama-based games, exercises, songs and dances in an imaginative and fun way to help boost child development.

We started running classes at St Margaret's Church Hall in January 2020 and are currently here every week during term-time on Wednesdays.

At Perform Leigh-On-Sea, the Producer of the classes is Oliver and the Teacher is Chloe. The sessions are looked after by our Area Partner, Sophie.

The current term runs from 2nd September to 16th December with no sessions on 28th October (half-term).

How to get here and parking:

Drive via London Road (A13) or Rayleigh Road (A1015) into Leigh-on-Sea, turning onto Lime Avenue. St Margaret's Church Hall is located along Lime Avenue, adjacent to the main church building.

An on-site car park is available for visitors. Additional on-street parking can also be found on Lime Avenue and nearby residential streets.

Chalkwell railway station is roughly a 15-minute walk away. Regular local bus routes run along nearby London Road and Rayleigh Road.

As at all Perform schools, they have all been hand-picked for being enthusiastic, approachable and, of course, fantastic with children. Oliver

Hi, I'm Oli! I've been with Perform since 2012 and work as an Area Partner, as well as running my own classes. Outside of Perform, I produce theatre shows and work in artist and live event management. Children have an incredible ability to find joy in the world around them, and that's one of the things I love most about my job. As an Area Partner, it's a privilege to support and develop our Teachers, helping even more children celebrate their individuality and discover what they're capable of.

TEACHER

Chloe

I've been part of the Perform team since 2017, combining my passion for performing with my love of teaching. I love helping children build confidence, creativity and self-expression through the magic of our classes. Outside of Perform, I sing in a vocal trio that I founded in 2014, performing across the UK and overseas. I love bringing my experience and passion for singing into every class to inspire the next generation of young performers.

AREA PARTNER

Sophie

I'm a Perform Teacher, Producer and Area Partner. I trained at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School and alongside working for Perform have appeared in many television programmes for the BBC and Channel 4. Recently, I've been in several of the Perform shows in the West End! What I love about teaching for Perform is seeing how much children change during their time with us. It is a joy to see children having so much fun as they are learning!
