Hello from Perform Muswell Hill at The Birchwood Centre. Here at Perform, we embrace the uniqueness of every child, offering a distinctive blend of drama, dance and singing to unlock their true potential.

We started running classes at The Birchwood Centre in September 2016 and are currently here every week during term-time on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

At Perform Muswell Hill, the Producers of the classes are Kate and Niyi and the Teachers are Alice and Olivia-Faith. The sessions are looked after by our Area Partner, Gemma.

The current term runs from 1st September to 16th December with no sessions on 27th to 28th October (half-term).

How to get here and parking:

When driving via Great North Road (A1000) or High Road, turn onto Fortis Green Road toward Muswell Hill. The centre is on Fortis Green Road but please use the Birchwood Avenue entrance.

No dedicated on-site parking is provided. Pay-and-display street parking and local pay car parks are available in the surrounding area.

East Finchley Underground station (Northern line) is a short distance away. Local bus routes 102 and 234 stop nearby on Fortis Green Road.

We spend a lot of time recruiting, training and evaluating our wonderful Area Partners, Producers and Teachers and the team at The Birchwood Centre in Muswell Hill are no exception. As at all Perform schools, they have all been hand-picked for being enthusiastic, approachable and, of course, fantastic with children. I trained at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama. I joined Perform in 2025 and absolutely love inspiring children through drama, dance and singing. It's so rewarding to watch their confidence grow each term and see them shine during Show Week. Outside of Perform, I love going to the theatre to watch plays and musicals. My current favourite musical is Carousel!

PRODUCER

Niyi

I love producing classes with Perform. I love that I get to help build children's confidence and through my years at Perform, I've seen the benefit of our classes and have so many accounts from our parents. Outside of Perform, I love going to see theatre! My current favourite is Into The Woods!

AREA PARTNER

Gemma

I'm one of the Perform Area Partners. I'm so lucky to meet so many wonderful Perform children when I visit different classes and watching their confidence blossom throughout their time with us. My background is musical theatre and I have performed in many different shows in the West End and in theatres around the UK. During my time in Les Miserables, I got to sing at the European football final at Wembley and the 25th anniversary concert at the O2!
