Hello and welcome to Perform Chelsea at The Hut - a new kind of drama school that has child development at its very heart. At Perform, we use drama, dance and singing to build children's social skills and help them grow in confidence so they can fulfil their potential.

We started running classes at The Hut in September 2001 and are currently here every week during term-time on Mondays and Thursdays.

At Perform Chelsea, the Producers of the classes are Amy and Emily and the Teachers are Emily and Jamie. The schools are looked after by our Area Partner, Gemma.

The current term runs from 3rd September to 17th December with no sessions on 26th to 29th October (half-term).

How to get here and parking:

To reach the venue by car, travel along King's Road (A3217) or Royal Hospital Road (A308). Turn onto Flood Street, then take the turn into Alpha Place, where the venue is located.

Visitors can use pay-and-display street parking along surrounding local roads, subject to resident restrictions. There is no parking on-site.

Sloane Square and South Kensington Underground stations are a 15 minute walk. Bus routes 11, 19, 22, 170, and 319 stop nearby on King's Road and Royal Hospital Road.

We spend a lot of time recruiting, training and evaluating our wonderful Area Partners, Producers and Teachers and the team at The Hut in Chelsea are no exception. As at all Perform schools, they have all been hand-picked for being enthusiastic, approachable and, of course, fantastic with children. As a result, you can be confident that your child is in the best of hands. Here are the details of the Creative Team at this venue:

I started teaching and producing with Perform last term after graduating from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. I am really passionate about the performing arts and I love watching the children's confidence grow in class every week! I grew up loving musical theatre; the first musical I ever watched was Annie when I was 4 years old.

Emily

I love sharing my passion for performing and helping children build confidence through drama, seeing how much they grow each term is the most rewarding part of teaching. Outside of Perform, I work on independent film projects and continue developing my skills as an actor and filmmaker. I strive to make every class fun, supportive, and full of energy!

AREA PARTNER

Gemma

I'm one of the Perform Area Partners. I'm so lucky to meet so many wonderful Perform children when I visit different classes and watching their confidence blossom throughout their time with us. My background is musical theatre and I have performed in many different shows in the West End and in theatres around the UK. During my time in Les Miserables, I got to sing at the European football final at Wembley and the 25th anniversary concert at the O2!
