Hello! Welcome to Perform West Hampstead at West Hampstead Community Centre!

At Perform, we focus on the 4 Cs - confidence, concentration, coordination and communication and every one of our activities is designed to boost these essential life skills.

We started running classes at West Hampstead Community Centre in September 2010 and are currently here every week during term-time on Wednesdays.

At Perform West Hampstead, the Producer of the classes is Caitlin and the Teacher is Kiarah. The sessions are looked after by our Area Partner, Gemma.

The current term runs from 2nd September to 16th December with no sessions on 28th October (half-term).

How to get here and parking:

To reach West Hampstead Community Centre by car, head towards West Hampstead via West End Lane (A5900) or Finchley Road (A41). Turn onto Mill Lane from West End Lane, then take a quick turn onto Dornfell Street. The community centre is situated midway down Dornfell Street, opposite West Hampstead Primary School.

Parking is free on the street after noon. As Dornfell Street is a school street, please be sure to check signage.

Public transport links are excellent, with the venue located within a short walk of three major stations. West Hampstead station serves the Jubilee line Underground, the London Overground, and Thameslink rail services. Numerous local bus routes run along West End Lane and Finchley Road, dropping off just a few minutes' walk from Dornfell Street.

We spend a lot of time recruiting, training and evaluating our wonderful Area Partners, Producers and Teachers and the team at West Hampstead Community Centre in West Hampstead are no exception. As at all Perform schools, they have all been hand-picked for being enthusiastic, approachable and, of course, fantastic with children. I've been with Perform since 2016. I love seeing the developments in each and every child I have the pleasure of seeing each week and focussing on their individual journeys. Alongside producing and teaching weekly workshops, I have the pleasure of working on Perform's West End shows as well!

TEACHER

Kiarah

I have been teaching at Perform since 2026. I love teaching and have been performing ever since I was little. Encouraging my students to learn about themselves and build their confidence through drama is a top priority; the results are always so rewarding to see. When I'm not at Perform, I enjoy singing and playing lots of instruments.

AREA PARTNER

Gemma

I'm one of the Perform Area Partners. I'm so lucky to meet so many wonderful Perform children when I visit different classes and watching their confidence blossom throughout their time with us. My background is musical theatre and I have performed in many different shows in the West End and in theatres around the UK. During my time in Les Miserables, I got to sing at the European football final at Wembley and the 25th anniversary concert at the O2!
