Welcome to Perform Clapham South at St Francis Xavier College - dedicated to building confidence, concentration, communication and coordination using performing arts.

We started running classes at St Francis Xavier College in September 2001 and are currently here every week during term-time on Saturdays.

At Perform Clapham South, the Producer of the classes is Miranda and the Teacher is Francesca. The sessions are looked after by our Area Partner, Sophie.

The current term runs from 5th September to 12th December.

How to get here and parking:

When driving along Balham Hill (A24) or Cavendish Road, turn onto Malwood Road. The college sits a short distance down the road.

Limited on-site visitor parking is available. Surrounding residential streets feature pay-and-display spaces and permit restrictions.

Clapham South Underground station (Northern line) is a four-minute walk away. Bus routes also stop nearby along Balham Hill.

Creative Team

We spend a lot of time recruiting, training and evaluating our wonderful Area Partners, Producers and Teachers and the team at St Francis Xavier College in Clapham South are no exception. As at all Perform schools, they have all been hand-picked for being enthusiastic, approachable and, of course, fantastic with children. PRODUCER

Miranda

I've been teaching with Perform since 2009, and it has been a privilege to watch so many children grow in confidence, creativity and imagination over the years. I'm also an actress and writer, so I love bringing my industry experience into the classroom. Outside of Perform, I have two wonderful children and a very supportive partner, and family time is where I'm happiest.

TEACHER

Francesca

I have been teaching at Perform since 2025. I love using my experience as an actor to help the children grow in confidence and creativity each week. Outside of Perform, I enjoy going to watch live theatre and going to concerts to see my favourite artists play.

AREA PARTNER

Sophie

I'm a Perform Teacher, Producer and Area Partner. I trained at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School and alongside working for Perform have appeared in many television programmes for the BBC and Channel 4. Recently, I've been in several of the Perform shows in the West End! What I love about teaching for Perform is seeing how much children change during their time with us. It is a joy to see children having so much fun as they are learning!
