By balancing sitting, standing and lying down, they explore movement, spatial awareness and teamwork.
1. Choose volunteers
Ask for three volunteers to create a scene together.
2. Explain the rules
Tell the children that at all times during the scene, one person must be sitting, one standing and one lying down.
3. Set the scene
Give a clear scenario, such as being at a bus stop, in a hospital, or on a camping trip. Demonstrate or join briefly if needed to get the scene started.
4. Play the scene
Encourage the children to keep the scene moving while maintaining their sit, stand and lie positions.
5. Swap and repeat
After a short scene, choose new volunteers and repeat the game.
This classic improvisation game encourages flexibility and quick thinking. Children must balance storytelling with physical awareness, resulting in inventive and often very comical scenes.
