A warm welcome to Perform Potters Bar at St John's Methodist Church. We offer weekly drama, dance and singing classes for children aged 4-12 using unique songs, dances, games and exercises designed to boost child development.

We started running classes at St John's Methodist Church in September 2015 and are currently here every week during term-time on Fridays.

At Perform Potters Bar, the Producer of the classes is Callum and the Teacher is Scarlett. The sessions are looked after by our Area Partner, Hannah.

The current term runs from 4th September to 18th December with no sessions on 30th October (half-term).

How to get here and parking:

Drive into Potters Bar along Darkes Lane or Mutton Lane, then turn onto Baker Street. The church is located on the right-hand side, just off the main road.

Limited on-site parking is available. Visitors can use paid on-street parking on Baker Street or nearby public car parks.

Potters Bar Railway Station is just a short walk away. Local bus routes stop nearby along Darkes Lane and Baker Street.

We spend a lot of time recruiting, training and evaluating our wonderful Area Partners, Producers and Teachers and the team at St John's Methodist Church in Potters Bar are no exception. As at all Perform schools, they have all been hand-picked for being enthusiastic, approachable and, of course, fantastic with children. As a result, you can be confident that your child is in the best of hands. Here are the details of the Creative Team at this venue:

PRODUCER

Callum

I've been producing classes with Perform since 2022. I love using my experience as an actor to inspire and teach children. Every term during show week, I'm amazed by how much their confidence has grown. Outside of Perform, I love writing, playing music and pretty much any sports!

TEACHER

Scarlett

I've been a part of the Perform team since 2025. I love working at Perform because it's so rewarding seeing the children's confidence grow. They bring so much joy and laughter and watching their personalities shine is so special. Outside of Perform, I love making costumes for shows; my favourite is the mad hatter!

AREA PARTNER

Hannah

I've been part of the Perform family since 2015 and work as an Area Partner and Producer. I also oversee our LAMDA classes and deliver SEN training. My favourite part of the job is making children laugh and creating a safe space where they can thrive. Outside of Perform, you'll usually find me reading, walking my dogs or learning something new. I'm particularly interested in Psychology and History!
