A warm and confident welcome to Perform Tonbridge at St John's Church Centre! At Perform, we put child development at the heart of everything we do. Come and try a free class and find out.

We started running classes at St John's Church Centre in January 2014 and are currently here every week during term-time on Tuesdays.

At Perform Tonbridge, the Producer of the classes is Maisie and the Teacher is Felicity. The schools are looked after by our Area Partner, Oliver.

The current term runs from 1st September to 15th December with no sessions on 27th October (half-term).

How to get here and parking:

To reach the venue by car, travel along Tonbridge Road (B245) through Hildenborough. Turn into Foxbush, set back from the main road by a grass verge, where the church centre is located.

Free parking is available in the spacious car park situated directly behind the church centre.

Hildenborough Railway Station is about a fifteen-minute walk away. Local bus services run along Tonbridge Road, with stops conveniently located nearby.

We spend a lot of time recruiting, training and evaluating our wonderful Area Partners, Producers and Teachers and the team at St John's Church Centre in Tonbridge are no exception. As at all Perform schools, they have all been hand-picked for being enthusiastic, approachable and, of course, fantastic with children. Teaching at Perform brings me so much joy and is the highlight of my week! I am always amazed by the children's progress when we get to show week each term. I adore inspiring the younger generation and staying inspired myself. I watch as much live theatre as I can, 'Oliver!' being one of my favourites!

TEACHER

Felicity

I have been with Perform since 2025. I trained at East 15 Acting school studying acting, dance and singing. I love using what I have learnt at drama school to help enable children to express themselves. It is wonderful seeing the progress of children term by term. Outside of Perform, I continue with my own acting work. I love to play fun characters with crazy costumes. My most memorable costume was a burger!

AREA PARTNER

Oliver

Hi, I'm Oli! I've been with Perform since 2012 and work as an Area Partner, as well as running my own classes. Outside of Perform, I produce theatre shows and work in artist and live event management. Children have an incredible ability to find joy in the world around them, and that's one of the things I love most about my job. As an Area Partner, it's a privilege to support and develop our Teachers, helping even more children celebrate their individuality and discover what they're capable of.
