A warm and confident welcome to Perform Hither Green at Lochaber Hall! At Perform, we put child development at the heart of everything we do. Come and try a free class and find out.

We started running classes at Lochaber Hall in January 2014 and are currently here every week during term-time on Thursdays.

At Perform Hither Green, the Producer of the classes is Maisie and the Teacher is Jamie. The sessions are looked after by our Area Partner, Gemma.

The current term runs from 3rd September to 17th December with no sessions on 29th October (half-term).

How to get here and parking:

Drive along Lee High Road (A20) then turn down Lochaber Road. The hall is on the corner of Lochaber Road and Manor Lane Terrace.

There is no dedicated car park on site. Limited on-street parking is available on surrounding residential streets, subject to local permit controls (a mix of paid and free parking, so ensure you double check signage)

Hither Green station is a short walk away, offering regular rail services. Nearby bus routes on Lee High Road also serve the hall.

Creative Team

We spend a lot of time recruiting, training and evaluating our wonderful Area Partners, Producers and Teachers and the team at Lochaber Hall in Hither Green are no exception. As at all Perform schools, they have all been hand-picked for being enthusiastic, approachable and, of course, fantastic with children. Teaching at Perform brings me so much joy and is the highlight of my week! I am always amazed by the children's progress when we get to show week each term. I adore inspiring the younger generation and staying inspired myself. I watch as much live theatre as I can, 'Oliver!' being one of my favourites!

TEACHER

Jamie

I adore teaching at Perform, as teaching drama is what I've always wanted to do! I'm originally from New York, where I studied Educational Theatre at NYU before moving to Barcelona. While there, I starred as Alice in a production of Alice in Wonderland at the historic Teatre Gaudí. The first time I ever taught theatre, I was just 14 years old. When I'm not teaching, I love playing piano, seeing shows on the West End, traveling around the world and sometimes even watching football!

AREA PARTNER

Gemma

I'm one of the Perform Area Partners. I'm so lucky to meet so many wonderful Perform children when I visit different classes and watching their confidence blossom throughout their time with us. My background is musical theatre and I have performed in many different shows in the West End and in theatres around the UK. During my time in Les Miserables, I got to sing at the European football final at Wembley and the 25th anniversary concert at the O2!
