A warm welcome to Perform Hackney at Round Chapel Old School Rooms. We offer weekly drama, dance and singing classes for children aged 4-12 using unique songs, dances, games and exercises designed to boost child development.

We started running classes at Round Chapel Old School Rooms in September 2013 and are currently here every week during term-time on Saturdays.

At Perform Hackney, the Producer of the classes is Katherine and the Teacher is Caitlin. The sessions are looked after by our Area Partner, Jade.

The current term runs from 5th September to 12th December.

How to get here and parking:

When travelling by car from the North Circular Road (A406) or East Cross Route (A12), follow Lea Bridge Road (A104) towards Hackney, turn onto Lower Clapton Road (A107), and turn into Powerscroft Road.

There is no dedicated parking on-site. Limited pay-and-display on-street parking is available on Powerscroft Road and surrounding streets, subject to council restrictions.

Hackney Central and Hackney Downs Overground stations are a short walk away. Buses stop nearby along Lower Clapton Road.

Katherine

I started working at Perform in 2012 after I gained a Masters in Acting at Mountview Academy, and I still get huge pleasure in transforming children's lives through drama after all these years. It's a highlight of my week seeing my students skip into class each week with a huge smile and take part in our end of term shows. My favourite Perform theme has to be Super Hero School because I get to wear a sparkly cape on our adventures!

TEACHER

Caitlin

I've been with Perform since 2016. I love seeing the developments in each and every child I have the pleasure of seeing each week and focussing on their individual journeys. Alongside producing and teaching weekly workshops, I have the pleasure of working on Perform's West End shows as well!

AREA PARTNER

Jade

I trained in Musical Theatre at Midlands Academy Of Dance and Drama I started teaching at Perform back in 2006, and I still absolutely love it today! It's so rewarding to see every child flourish and grow in confidence term by term. I am also a Perform Area Partner, so every day brings a different job! Outside of Perform, you'll usually find me at a football pitch or scooter park watching my children play. I also enjoy reformer Pilates and trips to the theatre.
