Hi and welcome to Perform Rottingdean at Rottingdean Public Hall. At Perform, we're proud of our unique curriculum that harnesses the power of the performing arts to boost children's confidence and social skills.

We started running classes at Rottingdean Public Hall in January 2013 and are currently here every week during term-time on Thursdays.

At Perform Rottingdean, the Producer of the classes is Amy and the Teacher is David. The schools are looked after by our Area Partner, Oliver.

The current term runs from 3rd September to 17th December with no sessions on 29th October (half-term).

How to get here and parking:

If travelling by car from Brighton or Peacehaven, take Marine Drive (A259) along the coast, turn inland onto Rottingdean High Street, and turn right onto Park Road.

Pay-and-display parking is available nearby at Marine Cliffs and West Street car parks, with limited on-street parking on surrounding roads.

Regular buses stop along Marine Drive (A259) and the High Street from central Brighton. Brighton railway station provides direct train and bus connections.

We spend a lot of time recruiting, training and evaluating our wonderful Area Partners, Producers and Teachers and the team at Rottingdean Public Hall in Rottingdean are no exception. As at all Perform schools, they have all been hand-picked for being enthusiastic, approachable and, of course, fantastic with children. David

I've been producing classes with Perform since 2017. I'm an experienced children's theatre actor, having toured major theatres across the UK and internationally. I've played some of the most popular children's characters in TV and literature, including Daddy Pig from Peppa Pig and Elmer the Patchwork Elephant. I love having the opportunity to inspire children and use my theatrical skills to help them develop their confidence as well as have the most fun every single week.

AREA PARTNER

Oliver

Hi, I'm Oli! I've been with Perform since 2012 and work as an Area Partner, as well as running my own classes. Outside of Perform, I produce theatre shows and work in artist and live event management. Children have an incredible ability to find joy in the world around them, and that's one of the things I love most about my job. As an Area Partner, it's a privilege to support and develop our Teachers, helping even more children celebrate their individuality and discover what they're capable of.
