At Perform Beckenham at Beckenham Methodist Church, our focus is not about teaching rigorous techniques, memorisation and repetition to produce a 'perfect performance'. Instead, we use drama-based games, exercises, songs and dances in an imaginative and fun way to help boost child development.

We started running classes at Beckenham Methodist Church in January 2012 and are currently here every week during term-time on Saturdays.

At Perform Beckenham, the Producer of the class is Miranda and the Teacher is Rebecca. The session is looked after by our Area Partner, Jade.

The current term runs from 5th September to 12th December.

How to get here and parking:

From Beckenham High Street (A222), follow Bromley Road heading east towards Bromley. The church is situated on your right at the corner with Bevington Road.

There is on-road metered parking, as well as a car park on St George Street.

Beckenham Junction railway and tram station is roughly a ten-minute walk away. Local bus routes stopping along Bromley Road offer regular connections.

Creative Team

We spend a lot of time recruiting, training and evaluating our wonderful Area Partners, Producers and Teachers and the team at Beckenham Methodist Church in Beckenham are no exception. As at all Perform schools, they have all been hand-picked for being enthusiastic, approachable and, of course, fantastic with children. PRODUCER

Miranda

I joined Perform in 2018 after studying English Literature at the University of York, and training in acting at Drama Studio London. I love drawing from my experiences as an actor to teach children drama, singing and dancing. It has been a total joy to watch their confidence and creativity flourish over the years. In addition to acting and teaching at Perform, I love yoga, 5 Rhythms dancing, hiking, camping, writing and playing guitar.

TEACHER

Rebecca

I joined Perform's teaching team in 2025 after graduating as an actor musician from Rose Bruford College. I love using my experience as an actor and musician to inspire young people and enjoy seeing how much their confidence grows over a term. Outside of Perform you'll find me making music and playing my guitar.

AREA PARTNER

Jade

I trained in Musical Theatre at Midlands Academy Of Dance and Drama I started teaching at Perform back in 2006, and I still absolutely love it today! It's so rewarding to see every child flourish and grow in confidence term by term. I am also a Perform Area Partner, so every day brings a different job! Outside of Perform, you'll usually find me at a football pitch or scooter park watching my children play. I also enjoy reformer Pilates and trips to the theatre.
