Hi and welcome to Perform Barnet at Barnet United Reformed Church. At Perform, we're proud of our unique curriculum that harnesses the power of the performing arts to boost children's confidence and social skills.

We started running classes at Barnet United Reformed Church in September 2001 and are currently here every week during term-time on Saturdays.

At Perform Barnet, the Producer of the class is Oliver and the Teacher is Scarlett. The session is looked after by our Area Partner, Jade.

The current term runs from 5th September to 12th December.

How to get here and parking:

From Barnet High Street, turn west onto Wood Street towards Arkley. The church is located on the left side of Wood Street, just past Saint John the Baptist Church. Where the road forks before the high street, take the left fork and the hall will be on your left, after the museum and before the hospital.

There is a free car park at the venue.

High Barnet Underground station on the Northern line is a ten-minute walk away. Regular buses also stop directly outside on Wood Street.

As at all Perform schools, they have all been hand-picked for being enthusiastic, approachable and, of course, fantastic with children. Oliver

Hi, I'm Oli! I've been with Perform since 2012 and work as an Area Partner, as well as running my own classes. Outside of Perform, I produce theatre shows and work in artist and live event management. Children have an incredible ability to find joy in the world around them, and that's one of the things I love most about my job. As an Area Partner, it's a privilege to support and develop our Teachers, helping even more children celebrate their individuality and discover what they're capable of.

TEACHER

Scarlett

I've been a part of the Perform team since 2025. I love working at Perform because it's so rewarding seeing the children's confidence grow. They bring so much joy and laughter and watching their personalities shine is so special. Outside of Perform, I love making costumes for shows; my favourite is the mad hatter!

AREA PARTNER

Jade

I trained in Musical Theatre at Midlands Academy Of Dance and Drama I started teaching at Perform back in 2006, and I still absolutely love it today! It's so rewarding to see every child flourish and grow in confidence term by term. I am also a Perform Area Partner, so every day brings a different job! Outside of Perform, you'll usually find me at a football pitch or scooter park watching my children play. I also enjoy reformer Pilates and trips to the theatre.
