At Perform Bedminster at The Elephant House, our focus is not about teaching rigorous techniques, memorisation and repetition to produce a 'perfect performance'. Instead, we use drama-based games, exercises, songs and dances in an imaginative and fun way to help boost child development.

We started running classes at The Elephant House in January 2025 and are currently here every week during term-time on Tuesdays.

At Perform Bedminster, the Producer of the classes is Fleur and the Teacher is Felicia. The sessions are looked after by our Area Partner, Gemma.

The current term runs from 1st September to 15th December with no sessions on 27th October (half-term).

How to get here and parking:

To reach the venue by car, travel through Bedminster via Bedminster Parade or Commercial Road onto Cannon Street, then turn directly onto Dean Street.

No on-site parking is available. Pay-and-display street parking is available along surrounding roads, plus public car parks on Bedminster Parade.

Bedminster Station is a ten-minute walk away. Local bus routes stop along nearby Bedminster Parade and Cannon Street, minutes from the venue.

We spend a lot of time recruiting, training and evaluating our wonderful Area Partners, Producers and Teachers and the team at The Elephant House in Bedminster are no exception. As at all Perform schools, they have all been hand-picked for being enthusiastic, approachable and, of course, fantastic with children. As a result, you can be confident that your child is in the best of hands. Here are the details of the Creative Team at this venue:

PRODUCER

Fleur

Teaching at Perform is the highlight of my day. I joined Perform as a Producer after graduating from drama school and it has sparked a real passion in me for sharing my love of performance with children. I now run 6 classes a week and I love watching my students grow in confidence, creativity and imagination. Outside of Perform I love to spend my time in the countryside with my three dogs, husband and our son. I also I work as an actor across all mediums, in film, TV and stage.

TEACHER

Felicia

I've been teaching with Perform since 2023. Originally from Sweden, I discovered my love for drama at a young age, and it has shaped who I am today. It's incredibly special to now inspire children and give them the same opportunity to build confidence, express themselves, and discover the joy of performing. Outside of Perform, I love all things creative, from theatre and books to music, board and video games. I also enjoy gardening and spending time in nature.

AREA PARTNER

Gemma

I've been producing classes with Perform since 2011. I love using my experience as an actor to inspire and teach children. It is magical to see how much the children grow in confidence through laughter and play at Perform. Outside of Perform I am a Mum of two beautiful children and I love heading to the beach with them for a relaxing day of sun, sea and sand!
