Welcome to Perform Loughton at St Mary's Church - where our weekly workshops are not just about having fun. They're also about fostering vital life skills that will stay with your child forever.

We started running classes at St Mary's Church in January 2022 and are currently here every week during term-time on Wednesdays.

At Perform Loughton, the Producer of the classes is Moya and the Teacher is Emily. The sessions are looked after by our Area Partner, Gemma.

The current term runs from 2nd September to 16th December with no sessions on 28th October (half-term).

How to get here and parking:

Drive via High Road or take the M11, exiting toward Loughton via the Epping New Road (A104). St Mary's Church is situated prominently at 201 High Road.

The church has its own on-site car park, including designated accessible bays. Further pay-and-display parking is available along High Road or in town centre car parks nearby.

Loughton Underground station (Central Line) is roughly a 10-minute walk away. Local bus services stop directly outside or near the venue on High Road.

Creative Team

We spend a lot of time recruiting, training and evaluating our wonderful Area Partners, Producers and Teachers and the team at St Mary's Church in Loughton are no exception. As at all Perform schools, they have all been hand-picked for being enthusiastic, approachable and, of course, fantastic with children. As a result, you can be confident that your child is in the best of hands. Here are the details of the Creative Team at this venue:

PRODUCER

Moya

I've been a Producer at Perform for almost 20 years, helping children to build their confidence. My biggest passion is making children feel as confident in social situations as they do in their own living rooms. I have two children so they keep me busy and I keep them entertain with Perform games. Alongside Perform, I sing with babies and toddlers, supporting their early development through music and helping them reach important developmental milestones.

TEACHER

Emily

Teaching at Perform is the highlight of my week. I joined the Perform team in 2023 after completing my Masters at Performers College. Alongside performing professionally, I've discovered a real passion for inspiring young people through drama. Nothing is more rewarding than seeing children grow in confidence, develop new skills, and achieve things they never thought possible. Creating a fun, supportive environment where every child feels encouraged to shine is what I love most about teaching.

AREA PARTNER

Gemma

I'm one of the Perform Area Partners. I'm so lucky to meet so many wonderful Perform children when I visit different classes and watching their confidence blossom throughout their time with us. My background is musical theatre and I have performed in many different shows in the West End and in theatres around the UK. During my time in Les Miserables, I got to sing at the European football final at Wembley and the 25th anniversary concert at the O2!
