Hello and welcome to Perform Maida Vale - a new kind of drama school that has child development at its very heart. At Perform, we use drama, dance and singing to build children's social skills and help them grow in confidence so they can fulfil their potential.

We started running classes at WECH Community Centre in April 2015 and are currently here every week during term-time on Tuesdays.

At Perform Maida Vale, the Producer of the classes is Callum and the Teacher is Emily. The schools are looked after by our Area Partner, Gemma.

The current term runs from 1st September to 15th December with no sessions on 27th October (half-term).

How to get here and parking:

If driving from central London, approach via Harrow Road (A404) or Maida Vale (A5) and turn onto Elgin Avenue. The venue is located within Selbourne House near Chippenham Road.

On-site parking is restricted. Pay-and-display street parking is available along Elgin Avenue and neighbouring roads, subject to local parking controls.

Westbourne Park and Maida Vale stations are within walking distance. Local buses including routes 18, 36, and 316 stop nearby on Harrow Road and Elgin Avenue.

We spend a lot of time recruiting, training and evaluating our wonderful Area Partners, Producers and Teachers and the team at WECH Community Centre in Maida Vale are no exception. As at all Perform schools, they have all been hand-picked for being enthusiastic, approachable and, of course, fantastic with children. As a result, you can be confident that your child is in the best of hands. Here are the details of the Creative Team at this venue:

Callum

I've been producing classes with Perform since 2022. I love using my experience as an actor to inspire and teach children. Every term during show week, I'm amazed by how much their confidence has grown. Outside of Perform, I love writing, playing music and pretty much any sports!

AREA PARTNER

Gemma

I'm one of the Perform Area Partners. I'm so lucky to meet so many wonderful Perform children when I visit different classes and watching their confidence blossom throughout their time with us. My background is musical theatre and I have performed in many different shows in the West End and in theatres around the UK. During my time in Les Miserables, I got to sing at the European football final at Wembley and the 25th anniversary concert at the O2!
