A warm welcome to Perform Aldersbrook at Aldersbrook Community Centre. We offer weekly drama, dance and singing classes for children aged 4-12 using unique songs, dances, games and exercises designed to boost child development.

We started running classes at Aldersbrook Community Centre in January 2023 and are currently here every week during term-time on Wednesdays.

At Perform Aldersbrook, the Producer of the classes is Jamie and the Teacher is Lauren. The sessions are looked after by our Area Partner, Gemma.

The current term runs from 2nd September to 16th December with no sessions on 28th October (half-term).

How to get here and parking:

Drive towards Aldersbrook via Eastern Avenue (A12) or the North Circular Road (A406). Turn onto Blake Hall Road, then follow Aldersbrook Road to access Brading Crescent.

No dedicated venue car park is available on-site. Free on-street parking can be found along Brading Crescent and adjacent residential roads.

Manor Park station and Wanstead Underground station are both nearby. Local bus routes run frequently along Aldersbrook Road, stopping just a short walk away.

We spend a lot of time recruiting, training and evaluating our wonderful Area Partners, Producers and Teachers and the team at Aldersbrook Community Centre in Aldersbrook are no exception. As at all Perform schools, they have all been hand-picked for being enthusiastic, approachable and, of course, fantastic with children. As a result, you can be confident that your child is in the best of hands. Here are the details of the Creative Team at this venue:

PRODUCER

Jamie

I have been a Producer at Perform since 2021 after graduating from The Musical Theatre Academy in London. I've also been working as a performer and vocalist since 2017! I love using drama and imaginative play to help develop children's confidence and communication skills - and seeing their progress each week is such a joy and privilege.

TEACHER

Lauren

I started working with Perform in 2026. I love using my musical theatre experience to teach children not only the skills of performance but encouraging their creativity and developing their confidence. Outside of Perform I love going to the theatre and enjoy sharing that passion with the children.

AREA PARTNER

Gemma

I'm one of the Perform Area Partners. I'm so lucky to meet so many wonderful Perform children when I visit different classes and watching their confidence blossom throughout their time with us. My background is musical theatre and I have performed in many different shows in the West End and in theatres around the UK. During my time in Les Miserables, I got to sing at the European football final at Wembley and the 25th anniversary concert at the O2!
