Welcome to Perform Bournemouth at St Augustin's Church Hall - dedicated to building confidence, concentration, communication and coordination using performing arts.

We started running classes at St Augustin's Church Hall in January 2023 and are currently here every week during term-time on Tuesdays.

At Perform Bournemouth, the Producer of the classes is Laura and the Teacher is Tom. The schools are looked after by our Area Partner, Sam.

The current term runs from 1st September to 15th December with no sessions on 27th October (half-term).

How to get here and parking:

Drive via Wessex Way (A338), exit towards the town centre, and take Richmond Hill or Charminster Road to Wimborne Road (A347). The church hall is on Wimborne Road opposite the cemetery.

Free street parking is available along St Augustin's Road beside the venue. Further pay-and-display spaces are nearby.

Bournemouth railway station is a 15-minute walk or short taxi ride away. Local buses run regularly along Wimborne Road, stopping close to the church.

As at all Perform schools, they have all been hand-picked for being enthusiastic, approachable and, of course, fantastic with children. PRODUCER

Laura

I joined Perform in 2012 and love working with families to support the development of each and every child. I have a Licentiate diploma in teaching speech and drama from the Trinity and Guildhall School of Music & Drama and a PhD in actor training. I adore teaching and when I'm not teaching for Perform, you can find me teaching undergraduate drama students or tutoring pupils for LAMDA and Trinity examinations.

AREA PARTNER

Sam

I have been with Perform since the beginning (almost)! I am an Area Partner and Producer, and love to be able to combine my passion of the performing arts and working with children. Watching their confidence and self esteem grow is the most rewarding thing, and seeing how proud parents are gives me a boost every day. At home I live with two fluffy dogs and love taking my god daughters to the theatre.
