Welcome to Perform Surbiton at Surbiton Hill Methodist Church Hall - dedicated to building confidence, concentration, communication and coordination using performing arts.

We started running classes at Surbiton Hill Methodist Church Hall in January 2022 and are currently here every week during term-time on Mondays.

At Perform Surbiton, the Producer of the classes is Lewis and the Teacher is Tom. The sessions are looked after by our Area Partner, Sophie.

The current term runs from 7th September to 14th December with no sessions on 26th October (half-term).

How to get here and parking:

Driving via Portsmouth Road (A307) or Kingston Bypass (A3), turn onto Claremont Road or Surbiton Hill Road towards Ewell Road. The church hall is on Ewell Road near St James Road.

Limited on-site parking is available - you must register your details on the screen inside or you may receive a penalty fine. On-street pay-and-display bays and local public car parks are also located nearby.

Surbiton railway station is a 10-minute walk away. Local buses stop nearby.

As at all Perform schools, they have all been hand-picked for being enthusiastic, approachable and, of course, fantastic with children. PRODUCER

Lewis

After graduating from Arts Educational Schools and working as an actor, I started producing classes at Perform. Watching the children developing in confidence, life skills and enjoying the classes so much, makes it the most rewarding job. In my free time, you will often find me at the theatre taking in a new play or musical.

TEACHER

Tom

My favorite thing about Perform is how silly we get to be in every class! I never take myself too seriously, and I love laughing with all my students as we create characters, play games, and develop their confidence. Outside of Perform, I love going to the cinema - especially to watch superhero movies!

AREA PARTNER

Sophie

I'm a Perform Teacher, Producer and Area Partner. I trained at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School and alongside working for Perform have appeared in many television programmes for the BBC and Channel 4. Recently, I've been in several of the Perform shows in the West End! What I love about teaching for Perform is seeing how much children change during their time with us. It is a joy to see children having so much fun as they are learning!
