Welcome to Perform Hither Green at Church Of The Good Shepherd. Here in Hither Green, we offer drama, dance and singing sessions with a unique focus on fun and child development. Come and try a free class so you can see the benefits for yourself.

We started running classes at Church Of The Good Shepherd in September 2021 and are currently here every week during term-time on Wednesdays.

At Perform Hither Green, the Producer of the classes is Maisie and the Teacher is Megan. The sessions are looked after by our Area Partner, Gemma.

The current term runs from 2nd September to 16th December with no sessions on 28th October (half-term).

How to get here and parking:

Drivers can reach the venue via Lee High Road (A20) or Burnt Ash Road (A2212) in Lee, turning onto Eltham Road and then into Handen Road.

On-street parking is available on Handen Road, with restrictions applying on weekday mornings and free parking on weekends.

Lee railway station is a short walk away, providing direct trains to London Bridge. Local buses stop nearby on Lee High Road and Burnt Ash Road.

We spend a lot of time recruiting, training and evaluating our wonderful Area Partners, Producers and Teachers and the team at Church Of The Good Shepherd in Hither Green are no exception. As at all Perform schools, they have all been hand-picked for being enthusiastic, approachable and, of course, fantastic with children. Teaching at Perform brings me so much joy and is the highlight of my week! I am always amazed by the children's progress when we get to show week each term. I adore inspiring the younger generation and staying inspired myself. I watch as much live theatre as I can, 'Oliver!' being one of my favourites!

TEACHER

Megan

I have been teaching with Perform since 2026. The enthusiasm and hard work in all my classes really inspires me to help the children reach their full potential. I have always loved musical theatre, both performing and watching it and my all-time favourite musical is Waitress!

AREA PARTNER

Gemma

I'm one of the Perform Area Partners. I'm so lucky to meet so many wonderful Perform children when I visit different classes and watching their confidence blossom throughout their time with us. My background is musical theatre and I have performed in many different shows in the West End and in theatres around the UK. During my time in Les Miserables, I got to sing at the European football final at Wembley and the 25th anniversary concert at the O2!
