Welcome to Perform Haggerston at St Michael's Church - dedicated to building confidence, concentration, communication and coordination using performing arts.

We started running classes at St Michael's Church in January 2016 and are currently here every week during term-time on Mondays.

At Perform Haggerston, the Producer of the classes is Joy and the Teacher is Maisie. The sessions are looked after by our Area Partner, Gemma.

The current term runs from 7th September to 14th December with no sessions on 26th October (half-term).

How to get here and parking:

Drive via Mare Street (A107) or Kingsland Road (A10) into Haggerston, turning onto Richmond Road and then onto Lansdowne Drive. St Michael's Church is situated at the corner of Lansdowne Drive and Lavender Grove.

No visitor parking is available on site. Pay-and-display and resident permit bays are on surrounding streets, with unrestricted parking after 6:30pm.

London Fields and Haggerston stations are within walking distance. Local buses stop nearby.

We spend a lot of time recruiting, training and evaluating our wonderful Area Partners, Producers and Teachers and the team at St Michael's Church in Haggerston are no exception. As at all Perform schools, they have all been hand-picked for being enthusiastic, approachable and, of course, fantastic with children. Joy

My name is Joy and I have been a Teacher at Perform since 2021. I love watching so many of my students grow in confidence and I am always so moved to see their progress through the terms! Playing games and singing our very catchy songs with them is my favorite part of the job, although I have really enjoyed playing a sassy French ballerina in Midnight in the Toyshop too!

TEACHER

Maisie

I started teaching with Perform in 2026. It is a joy to see and work with children at Perform on developing strong communication skills, self belief and confidence in such a fun and supportive environment. Outside of Perform I'm a singer, so it is wonderful to be able to share my stage experience with the children on a weekly basis. My vocal idol is Adele!

AREA PARTNER

Gemma

I'm one of the Perform Area Partners. I'm so lucky to meet so many wonderful Perform children when I visit different classes and watching their confidence blossom throughout their time with us. My background is musical theatre and I have performed in many different shows in the West End and in theatres around the UK. During my time in Les Miserables, I got to sing at the European football final at Wembley and the 25th anniversary concert at the O2!
