Carla Dee - Perform Chippenham parent

At Perform Chippenham at Chippenham Sports Club, our focus is not about teaching rigorous techniques, memorisation and repetition to produce a 'perfect performance'. Instead, we use drama-based games, exercises, songs and dances in an imaginative and fun way to help boost child development.

We started running classes at Chippenham Sports Club in January 2017 and are currently here every week during term-time on Thursdays.

At Perform Chippenham, the Producer of the classes is Fleur and the Teacher is Dean. The schools are looked after by our Area Partner, Gemma.

The current term runs from 3rd September to 17th December with no sessions on 29th October (half-term).

How to get here and parking:

Drivers can reach the venue from the M4 (Junction 17) via the Chippenham bypass (A350). Head towards the town centre on Malmesbury Road (B4158), turning onto Hardenhuish Lane and then Bristol Road (A420) to reach Hardenhuish Park.

There is a car park on site.

Chippenham railway station is a 15-minute walk away, with regular bus services running along nearby routes towards the ground.

As at all Perform schools, they have all been hand-picked for being enthusiastic, approachable and, of course, fantastic with children. PRODUCER

Fleur

Teaching at Perform is the highlight of my day. I joined Perform as a Producer after graduating from drama school and it has sparked a real passion in me for sharing my love of performance with children. I now run 6 classes a week and I love watching my students grow in confidence, creativity and imagination. Outside of Perform I love to spend my time in the countryside with my three dogs, husband and our son. I also I work as an actor across all mediums, in film, TV and stage.

TEACHER

Dean

I've loved being a part of the Perform team since 2025. Seeing the children come out of their shells and grow every week is the best part of what I do. I enjoy creating a fun, supportive environment where everyone feels encouraged to use their imagination and have a go. Outside of Perform, I work in an SEN school and across a range of different roles in theatre, from acting to technical work.

AREA PARTNER

Gemma

I've been producing classes with Perform since 2011. I love using my experience as an actor to inspire and teach children. It is magical to see how much the children grow in confidence through laughter and play at Perform. Outside of Perform I am a Mum of two beautiful children and I love heading to the beach with them for a relaxing day of sun, sea and sand!
