A warm welcome to Perform Brentwood at Hutton Community Centre. We offer weekly drama, dance and singing classes for children aged 4-12 using unique songs, dances, games and exercises designed to boost child development.

We started running classes at Hutton Community Centre in January 2006 and are currently here every week during term-time on Thursdays.

At Perform Brentwood, the Producer of the classes is Sophie and the Teacher is Isabel. The schools are looked after by our Area Partner, Gemma.

The current term runs from 3rd September to 17th December with no sessions on 29th October (half-term).

How to get here and parking:

To reach the venue by car, approach via Rayleigh Road (A129) or London Road (A1023), turning onto Wash Road and following Rayner Way to Harrison Close.

Free on-site parking is available in the dedicated car park adjacent to the community centre, with additional parking along nearby residential streets.

Shenfield station is less than a five-minute drive away. Local bus services stop nearby along Wash Road and Rayner Way, connecting to Brentwood centre.

We spend a lot of time recruiting, training and evaluating our wonderful Area Partners, Producers and Teachers and the team at Hutton Community Centre in Brentwood are no exception. As at all Perform schools, they have all been hand-picked for being enthusiastic, approachable and, of course, fantastic with children. As a result, you can be confident that your child is in the best of hands. Here are the details of the Creative Team at this venue:

Sophie

I'm a Perform Teacher, Producer and Area Partner. I trained at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School and alongside working for Perform have appeared in many television programmes for the BBC and Channel 4. Recently, I've been in several of the Perform shows in the West End! What I love about teaching for Perform is seeing how much children change during their time with us. It is a joy to see children having so much fun as they are learning!

AREA PARTNER

Gemma

I'm one of the Perform Area Partners. I'm so lucky to meet so many wonderful Perform children when I visit different classes and watching their confidence blossom throughout their time with us. My background is musical theatre and I have performed in many different shows in the West End and in theatres around the UK. During my time in Les Miserables, I got to sing at the European football final at Wembley and the 25th anniversary concert at the O2!
