A warm and confident welcome to Perform South Woodford at EFS Scout Hut! At Perform, we put child development at the heart of everything we do. Come and try a free class and find out.

We started running classes at EFS Scout Hut in September 2017 and are currently here every week during term-time on Wednesdays.

At Perform South Woodford, the Producer of the classes is Andrew and the Teacher is Lisa. The sessions are looked after by our Area Partner, Gemma.

The current term runs from 2nd September to 16th December with no sessions on 28th October (half-term).

How to get here and parking:

Drivers can reach the venue via High Road (A119) or the North Circular Road (A406), turning directly onto High Road in South Woodford. The hut is behind the library and the gym.

On-site parking is limited. Visitors can use local pay-and-display on-street parking or the nearby car park.

South Woodford Underground station (Central line) is a short five-minute walk away. Local bus routes run frequently along High Road and George Lane.

We spend a lot of time recruiting, training and evaluating our wonderful Area Partners, Producers and Teachers and the team at EFS Scout Hut in South Woodford are no exception. As at all Perform schools, they have all been hand-picked for being enthusiastic, approachable and, of course, fantastic with children. PRODUCER

Andrew

For the past 8 years, I've had the joy of helping children grow in confidence, creativity and self-belief as a Producer. I've continued performing across theatre, film and television too. I began my career as an actor training at East 15 Acting School before completing a 3 year degree course in Musical Theatre at the London College of Music. I love sharing my passion for the performing arts and helping every child shine. If you can sing, dance or act in front of an audience, you can do anything!

TEACHER

Lisa

I have been teaching for Perform since 2017 after graduating from the American Musical Theatre Academy of London. I love helping children build their confidence, spark their creativity, and have lots of fun! My favourite part of each term is watching our young performers shine at their end of term shows, and seeing how much their confidence has grown. Outside of Perform, I enjoy spending time with my family, baking cakes and having disney movie marathons with my nieces and nephews!

AREA PARTNER

Gemma

I'm one of the Perform Area Partners. I'm so lucky to meet so many wonderful Perform children when I visit different classes and watching their confidence blossom throughout their time with us. My background is musical theatre and I have performed in many different shows in the West End and in theatres around the UK. During my time in Les Miserables, I got to sing at the European football final at Wembley and the 25th anniversary concert at the O2!
