Welcome to Perform Mapperley at Mapperley Plains Recreation & Social Club. Here in Mapperley, we offer drama, dance and singing sessions with a unique focus on fun and child development. Come and try a free class so you can see the benefits for yourself.

We started running classes at Mapperley Plains Recreation & Social Club in April 2026 and are currently here every week during term-time on Thursdays.

At Perform Mapperley, the Producer of the classes is Jess and the Teacher is Eleanor. The sessions are looked after by our Area Partner, Jade.

The current term runs from 3rd September to 17th December with no sessions on 29th October (half-term).

How to get here and parking:

From Nottingham city centre, follow Mansfield Road northbound before turning right onto Woodborough Road (B684). Continue straight onto Plains Road, where the venue entrance will be on your right. The venue is next to Nuffield Health and opposite Tree Tops pub.

Free parking is available on site in the front car park.

Regular bus services run frequently along Plains Road from Nottingham city centre. Nearby bus stops are situated just a short walk from the venue entrance.

We spend a lot of time recruiting, training and evaluating our wonderful Area Partners, Producers and Teachers and the team at Mapperley Plains Recreation & Social Club in Mapperley are no exception. As at all Perform schools, they have all been hand-picked for being enthusiastic, approachable and, of course, fantastic with children. As a result, you can be confident that your child is in the best of hands. Here are the details of the Creative Team at this venue:

PRODUCER

Jess

I have been producing with Perform since 2025. I joined the teaching team after working onboard cruise ships as a dancer and a singer and I love sharing my experience with the children. My favourite thing about Perform is watching the children blossom from week to week!

TEACHER

Eleanor

I joined Perform in 2023 after graduating from Leeds Conservatoire. Since then, I've developed a real passion for teaching and helping children grow in confidence while having fun. I love bringing our fantastic shows to life through fabulous songs, exciting dances, and plenty of creativity; making every class a place where children can shine.

AREA PARTNER

Jade

I trained in Musical Theatre at Midlands Academy Of Dance and Drama I started teaching at Perform back in 2006, and I still absolutely love it today! It's so rewarding to see every child flourish and grow in confidence term by term. I am also a Perform Area Partner, so every day brings a different job! Outside of Perform, you'll usually find me at a football pitch or scooter park watching my children play. I also enjoy reformer Pilates and trips to the theatre.
