A warm and confident welcome to Perform East Dulwich at Amott Road Baptist Church! At Perform, we put child development at the heart of everything we do. Come and try a free class and find out.

We started running classes at Amott Road Baptist Church in September 2023 and are currently here every week during term-time on Tuesdays.

At Perform East Dulwich, the Producer of the classes is Jamie and the Teacher is Nadia. The sessions are looked after by our Area Partner, Sophie.

The current term runs from 1st September to 15th December with no sessions on 27th October (half-term).

How to get here and parking:

From Peckham Rye (A2210) or Bellenden Road, turn onto Adys Road and then left onto Amott Road. The church is situated midway along the street on your right.

There is no dedicated parking on site, but free on-street parking is available along Amott Road and adjacent residential streets.

Peckham Rye railway station is a ten-minute walk away. Nearby bus routes serving Rye Lane and Peckham Rye also provide convenient access to the church.

Creative Team

We spend a lot of time recruiting, training and evaluating our wonderful Area Partners, Producers and Teachers and the team at Amott Road Baptist Church in East Dulwich are no exception. As at all Perform schools, they have all been hand-picked for being enthusiastic, approachable and, of course, fantastic with children. PRODUCER

Jamie

I adore teaching at Perform, as teaching drama is what I've always wanted to do! I'm originally from New York, where I studied Educational Theatre at NYU before moving to Barcelona. While there, I starred as Alice in a production of Alice in Wonderland at the historic Teatre Gaudí. The first time I ever taught theatre, I was just 14 years old. When I'm not teaching, I love playing piano, seeing shows on the West End, traveling around the world and sometimes even watching football!

TEACHER

Nadia

I moved to the UK from New Zealand in 2026. In New Zealand I had been teaching dance for 10 years and I have always loved watching my students grow in confidence through drama and dance. My favourite thing about Perform is the sense of playfulness and fun throughout the whole learning process!

AREA PARTNER

Sophie

I'm a Perform Teacher, Producer and Area Partner. I trained at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School and alongside working for Perform have appeared in many television programmes for the BBC and Channel 4. Recently, I've been in several of the Perform shows in the West End! What I love about teaching for Perform is seeing how much children change during their time with us. It is a joy to see children having so much fun as they are learning!
