Welcome to Perform Isle Of Dogs at Barkentine Community Hall. Here in Isle Of Dogs, we offer drama, dance and singing sessions with a unique focus on fun and child development. Come and try a free class so you can see the benefits for yourself.

We started running classes at Barkentine Community Hall in January 2023 and are currently here every week during term-time on Fridays.

At Perform Isle Of Dogs, the Producer of the classes is Molly and the Teacher is Viola. The sessions are looked after by our Area Partner, Oliver.

The current term runs from 4th September to 18th December with no sessions on 30th October (half-term).

How to get here and parking:

Access the community hall from Westferry Road, next to the Barkentine Pharmacy. The postcode will take you to the back of the venue - there is no access here.

No dedicated venue parking is provided, though paid resident and visitor permit bays operate on surrounding streets. These are free after 5.30pm.

Crossharbour DLR station is a brief walk away, while local buses along Westferry Road also serve the location.

We spend a lot of time recruiting, training and evaluating our wonderful Area Partners, Producers and Teachers and the team at Barkentine Community Hall in Isle Of Dogs are no exception. As at all Perform schools, they have all been hand-picked for being enthusiastic, approachable and, of course, fantastic with children. As a result, you can be confident that your child is in the best of hands. Here are the details of the Creative Team at this venue:

Molly

I joined the Perform team in 2025 after graduating from Bird College and have been really enjoying my time as both a Teacher and a Producer. I love seeing my students having loads of fun and progressing throughout the term, and am always so proud of their hard work!

TEACHER

Viola

I've been teaching at Perform since 2025, and I love seeing how drama builds confidence and creativity in children. Alongside teaching, I've worked as an actor in Babies the Musical and toured Germany in Grease. The most rewarding aspect of teaching is helping young people discover their potential, both on and off stage.

AREA PARTNER

Oliver

Hi, I'm Oli! I've been with Perform since 2012 and work as an Area Partner, as well as running my own classes. Outside of Perform, I produce theatre shows and work in artist and live event management. Children have an incredible ability to find joy in the world around them, and that's one of the things I love most about my job. As an Area Partner, it's a privilege to support and develop our Teachers, helping even more children celebrate their individuality and discover what they're capable of.
