Karen Hewitt - Perform Goring parent

Hi and welcome to Perform Goring at Goring Village Hall. At Perform, we're proud of our unique curriculum that harnesses the power of the performing arts to boost children's confidence and social skills.

We started running classes at Goring Village Hall in April 2016 and are currently here every week during term-time on Mondays.

At Perform Goring, the Producer of the classes is Sophia and the Teacher is Amy. The sessions are looked after by our Area Partner, Gemma.

The current term runs from 7th September to 14th December with no sessions on 26th October (half-term).

How to get here and parking:

To reach the venue by car, access Goring via Reading Road (A329) or Wallingford Road (B471), then head into the village centre onto High Street.

There is a small carpark at the front of the venue, plus street parking. Additional parking is available at the pay-and-display Wheel Orchard car park on nearby Station Road, or on surrounding streets.

Goring & Streatley railway station is a short walk away via Station Road. Local bus services also serve High Street and the surrounding village area.

We spend a lot of time recruiting, training and evaluating our wonderful Area Partners, Producers and Teachers and the team at Goring Village Hall in Goring are no exception. As at all Perform schools, they have all been hand-picked for being enthusiastic, approachable and, of course, fantastic with children. As a result, you can be confident that your child is in the best of hands. Here are the details of the Creative Team at this venue:

PRODUCER

Sophia

I've worked with Perform since 2024. I trained at Bird College, before performing professionally as a singer in the UK and internationally. I love sharing my passion for the performing arts, helping children build confidence, develop new skills and grow into their full potential in a fun, supportive environment.

TEACHER

Amy

I joined Perform in 2026 as a Teacher and trained to be a Producer. I'm passionate about helping children grow in confidence through the performing arts and love creating fun, supportive classes where everyone feels encouraged to be creative and express themselves. Seeing my students' confidence grow each term is the most rewarding part of my job. Outside of teaching, you'll find me performing as a princess, performing contracts or watching a musical!

AREA PARTNER

Gemma

I've been producing classes with Perform since 2011. I love using my experience as an actor to inspire and teach children. It is magical to see how much the children grow in confidence through laughter and play at Perform. Outside of Perform I am a Mum of two beautiful children and I love heading to the beach with them for a relaxing day of sun, sea and sand!
