At Perform Orpington at Orpington Methodist Church, our focus is not about teaching rigorous techniques, memorisation and repetition to produce a 'perfect performance'. Instead, we use drama-based games, exercises, songs and dances in an imaginative and fun way to help boost child development.

We started running classes at Orpington Methodist Church in May 2022 and are currently here every week during term-time on Tuesdays.

At Perform Orpington, the Producer of the classes is Caitlin and the Teacher is Taylor. The sessions are looked after by our Area Partner, Oliver.

The current term runs from 1st September to 15th December with no sessions on 27th October (half-term).

Creative Team

We spend a lot of time recruiting, training and evaluating our wonderful Area Partners, Producers and Teachers and the team at Orpington Methodist Church in Orpington are no exception. As at all Perform schools, they have all been hand-picked for being enthusiastic, approachable and, of course, fantastic with children. As a result, you can be confident that your child is in the best of hands. Here are the details of the Creative Team at this venue:

PRODUCER

Caitlin

I've been with Perform since 2016. I love seeing the developments in each and every child I have the pleasure of seeing each week and focussing on their individual journeys. Alongside producing and teaching weekly workshops, I have the pleasure of working on Perform's West End shows as well!

TEACHER

Taylor

As a Teacher at Perform, I love using my experience to help encourage, inspire and build confidence with the students. I graduated from The Institute of Contemporary Theatre with a degree in musical theatre. In my spare time I like writing songs and performing with my band.

AREA PARTNER

Oliver

Hi, I'm Oli! I've been with Perform since 2012 and work as an Area Partner, as well as running my own classes. Outside of Perform, I produce theatre shows and work in artist and live event management. Children have an incredible ability to find joy in the world around them, and that's one of the things I love most about my job. As an Area Partner, it's a privilege to support and develop our Teachers, helping even more children celebrate their individuality and discover what they're capable of.
