Hi and welcome to Perform Welwyn Garden City at WGC Quaker Meeting House. At Perform, we're proud of our unique curriculum that harnesses the power of the performing arts to boost children's confidence and social skills.

We started running classes at WGC Quaker Meeting House in April 2013 and are currently here every week during term-time on Wednesdays.

At Perform Welwyn Garden City, the Producer of the classes is Jessica and the Teacher is Logan. The schools are looked after by our Area Partner, Sophie.

The current term runs from 2nd September to 16th December with no sessions on 28th October (half-term).

How to get here and parking:

If driving from the town centre, head south west along Parkway and turn right onto Handside Lane, or approach via Stanborough Road (A6129). The venue is located next to the Barn Theatre.

On-site parking is available at the venue, including accessible spaces. Additional street parking can be found on Handside Lane.

Bus 300 (or 405 on Sundays) stops directly outside the venue. Welwyn Garden City train station is 2/3 of a mile away.

Jessica

My name is Jessica and I have been producing classes with Perform since 2018. One of my favourite things about teaching is being able to watch children learn and grow through their journey at Perform, and to help encourage them to be more confident in themselves, and come out of their shell. I love watching them achieve things they didn?t think was possible; in their social skills and performing talents. When not teaching at Perform, I also work in a gym as a class instructor.

TEACHER

Logan

I've been teaching at Perform since May 2026. I graduated from Bird Conservatoire in the Summer of 2025, and jumped into teaching as I love seeing kids grow in confidence and shine! Every week I enjoy inspiring young aspiring performers and helping them to learn to be bold, colourful and proud! A higlight has been watching kids in my class go from timidly saying a line to proudly performing in the end of term show.

AREA PARTNER

Sophie

I'm a Perform Teacher, Producer and Area Partner. I trained at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School and alongside working for Perform have appeared in many television programmes for the BBC and Channel 4. Recently, I've been in several of the Perform shows in the West End! What I love about teaching for Perform is seeing how much children change during their time with us. It is a joy to see children having so much fun as they are learning!
