Welcome to Perform Hedge End at Underhill Centre - where our weekly workshops are not just about having fun. They're also about fostering vital life skills that will stay with your child forever.

We started running classes at Underhill Centre in January 2025 and are currently here every week during term-time on Tuesdays.

At Perform Hedge End, the Producer of the classes is Luna and the Teacher is Barney. The sessions are looked after by our Area Partner, Sam.

The current term runs from 1st September to 15th December with no sessions on 27th October (half-term).

How to get here and parking:

Drive via St Johns Road toward Hedge End village centre, turning off West End Road or Upper Northam Road (A334). The centre is attached to St John's Church on St John's Road.

A free adjacent car park is available right next to the venue for visitors, including dedicated accessible parking bays.

Hedge End railway station is roughly a 20-minute walk or short bus ride away. Local buses operate along nearby routes through Hedge End village centre.

We spend a lot of time recruiting, training and evaluating our wonderful Area Partners, Producers and Teachers and the team at Underhill Centre in Hedge End are no exception. As at all Perform schools, they have all been hand-picked for being enthusiastic, approachable and, of course, fantastic with children. As a result, you can be confident that your child is in the best of hands. Here are the details of the Creative Team at this venue:

Luna

After graduating with a Musical Theatre degree and working as a singer and actor, I joined Perform in 2022. I absolutely love teaching because it's wonderful to see how much the children grow in confidence every single term! Outside of Perform, I do ballroom and latin dancing and on weekends can often be found waltzing and jiving at a competition somewhere.

AREA PARTNER

Sam

I have been with Perform since the beginning (almost)! I am an Area Partner and Producer, and love to be able to combine my passion of the performing arts and working with children. Watching their confidence and self esteem grow is the most rewarding thing, and seeing how proud parents are gives me a boost every day. At home I live with two fluffy dogs and love taking my god daughters to the theatre.
