Perform's online LAMDA classes are available for children aged 7 to 12 and 12+. Classes are grouped by age and focus on either Acting or Public Speaking, depending on the child's chosen pathway and level.
LAMDA Acting focuses on performance, character work, expression, movement and delivering scripted pieces. LAMDA Public Speaking helps children plan, write and deliver speeches clearly and confidently, improving presentation skills, vocal clarity and communication.
Yes, children can take LAMDA classes online with Perform. The sessions are held in small groups and provide live guidance from experienced teachers, helping children prepare for LAMDA exams while developing confidence, articulation and performance technique.
Preparation time can vary, but children usually need around 20 guided learning hours or approximately two terms of study before they are ready to take a LAMDA exam. This gives pupils time to practise their pieces, build confidence and refine their technique.
