We offer drama classes for 4-7s and 7-12s.
Yes absolutely! Perform requires no prior experience in drama, dance or singing. Our classes are a unique mix of games, exercises, songs and dances that every child can enjoy as soon as they start. All we ask for is enthusiasm and an open mind.
As we are centrally run and not a franchise, all of our classes follow the same structure. For 4-7s, that means we start with Move & Feel, move on to Listen, Speak & Sing and finish with Create & Imagine. 7-12s start with Acting & Improvising, proceed to Movement & Dance and conclude with Speech & Singing.
Yes of our 60 minute and 90 minute classes include equal sections for drama, dance and singing.
In Ealing, we have classes that run after-school and at weekends.
Yes, Perform specializes in what we call the 4 Cs: Confidence, Concentration, Communication and Coordination. That means that every game or activity we do in the classes has building one of those Cs as its objective.
All of our weekly classes finish the term with a specially-written presentation to family and friends on the last week. Children receive the script for this around half-term and every child is guaranteed a role.
The main difference is that, unlike other children's drama schools that focus on perfecting steps, memorizing lines or vocal technique, Perform harnesses children's natural enthusiasm, creativity and teamwork skills to boost their social skills and bring out their potential via the performing arts.
Classes and courses are kept small to ensure lots of individual attention by our expert teachers - hand-picked for their warmth, energy and professionalism. They'll focus on your child's enthusiasm and engagement in the activities. And they'll be with your child every step of the way to guide, inspire and encourage.
