Discover your Body

Teacher and pupil

An energetic, interactive workshop all about the incredible human body! From travelling sound waves to bouncing oxygen bubbles, this science-meets-drama session brings anatomy to life in a fun and physical way.

Children will explore how their bodies work, what they need to stay healthy, and why every muscle, bone and organ matters. Expect plenty of movement, imagination, and unforgettable learning.

  • Use their bodies to act out blood circulation and organ functions
  • Race through the ear in a high-energy sound wave assault course
  • Create a live advert campaign for parts of the eye
  • Build a living Eatwell Plate and debate healthy food choices

Learning objectives:

  • Identify major body parts, bones, muscles and their functions
  • Understand how key systems in the body work (e.g. circulation, senses)
  • Explore the importance of sleep, hydration and a balanced diet

Curriculum links:

  • KS2 Science: Animals including humans- the human body and nutrition
  • KS2 PSHE: Health and wellbeing- physical health and mental wellbeing
  • KS2 English & Drama: Speaking, listening, roleplay and performance
