Bringing learning to life through drama

What teachers say

Whether you’re looking for a fresh angle on a traditional topic, a fun weekly after school club or an inspiring INSET on using drama in the classroom,  a visit from Perform For Schools could be the answer.

Perform For Schools is the primary school division of Perform - the UK's leading provider of drama, dance and singing workshops for 4-12 year olds.

Every week, over 5000 children attend Perform after-school and weekend workshops at venues across London, the South East and South West. The classes focus on developing confidence and social skills in a fun and lively way via the performing arts. With over 15 years of experience, all our teachers are recruited, DBS and reference-checked, trained and employed directly by us.  So, you can be confident that your pupils will be in the very best of hands.

Perform For Schools offer:

Foundation, KS1 and KS2 National Curriculum Explorer Workshops: These popular workshops use children’s natural love of drama, role-play and improvisation to spark their imaginations and stimulate their interest in Foundation, KS1 and KS2 topics. They are available for a wide range of subjects and each one is closely aligned to the National Curriculum. Explorers use imaginative creative resources, performing arts-based exercises and role-play scenarios to provide a new look at traditional subjects.

Easy to set up After School Clubs: individually designed weekly workshops running throughout the term based on a range of themes and designed to help develop confidence and communication skills.

Inspiring Creative Learning and Literacy INSETS: developed to provide a useful set of skills, best practices and resources on the use of drama to inspire creative ways of teaching across the curriculum.

The teachers who were in the hall with Laura were very complimentary about the relationship she formed with each group and reacted perfectly when she could see the few children who needed additional attention. She was professional throughout and all of the children came out of each session saying that they had fun and enjoyed the activities that they had done.

– Toby Oxford

It was very involved all children were very animated and loved all the actions and remembered lots of clear facts they had learnt about the Great Fire of London.

– Mrs G Hewitt

– Ms. J Whittingham

The children absolutely loved their Superhero workshop with Hannah today. They were focussed and engaged throughout the entire session and it was lovely, as a teacher, to see their imagination sparked and bought to life in such a simple, yet brilliant way. They couldn't stop talking about their encounter with the Big Bopper and were humming the song all afternoon. Thank you!
