Robot Revolution

Ignite Young Minds with STEM through Drama!

Our Robot Revolution workshop brings coding and robotics to life in an engaging and theatrical way! Perfect for KS2, this drama-based STEM workshop immerses students in the world of algorithms, robotics and artificial intelligence, encouraging creativity, problem-solving and collaboration through performance.

Becoming a Robot

Young learners will dive into the role of robots through physical movement and voice to express different robot characters and functions. Through fun, guided exercises, students will create their own robot modes, learning the basics of coding as they follow and give commands to navigate different tasks and scenarios. This workshop introduces coding concepts in a highly engaging way, encouraging students to embody the logic and personality of their robot creations!

Advanced Robots & Human Collaboration

Robot Revolution takes a step further, exploring the relationship between robots and humans. Students will act out scenarios where:

  • Students work as teams of robots and programmers, gaining experience in problem-solving and teamwork.
  • We use role-play to simulate real-life settings, such as space stations or hospitals where robots aid humans, testing their coding and communication skills as they perform assigned tasks.
  • Older students explore the ethical questions surrounding AI, asking what might happen when robots gain more complex emotions and independence.

The children really enjoyed the sessions. I wasn't sure how it would work online, but Rachel held their attention extremely well. She was calm and clear with her instructions and made sure that everyone had a chance to speak. They were all involved and joined in with the activities and said that was the best time ever.

– Mrs K Thurston

The children enjoyed all of the activities, particularly using their imaginations to act out the story of The Snail and the Whale. They loved learning about opposites and teamwork, and used their listening skills to recreate freeze frames.

– Miss J Smith

Hannah is always full of energy and fully engages the children.

– Ms. T Marquand

Hannah was, as always, engaging, enthusiastic and informative. What a wonderful way to kick-start our pupil's learning about Florence Nightingale!

Thank you!

– Mr M Lavery

Holly was absolutely amazing carrying out Healthy Me' workshop. She engaged the classes and questioned them on their knowledge learnt so far. The children had such fun and learnt a great rap!

– Ms. S Parish

The children learnt a lot and enjoyed it too. I liked the way the leader went through events first and then broke them down in detail and then the children acted it out. Great behaviour management too.

– Mrs G Hewitt

Please pass on our thanks to India for working hard with all the classes. She was very enthusiastic and the children all enjoyed participating. She observed social distancing and I would be happy to recommend.

– Ms. L Downes

Children were engaged and interested throughout - Hannah gave clear instructions and guidance to inspire the pupils, there was a real buzz in school afterwards!

– Ms. F Sinsbury

Katie was fantastic. Even over Zoom. She really brought the topic to life. The children in class loved it and I could see the children at home were enjoying themselves too.

– Mr D Parris

We thought Bethany delivered an excellent workshop on anti bullying. It was relevant to the age of the children and explained well about what bullying is (and isn't) and made good links to the worries they have with friends on the playground.

Thank you very much!
