Bringing learning to life through drama

What teachers say

Whether you’re looking for a fresh angle on a traditional topic, a fun weekly after school club or an inspiring INSET on using drama in the classroom,  a visit from Perform For Schools could be the answer.

Perform For Schools is the primary school division of Perform - the UK's leading provider of drama, dance and singing workshops for 4-12 year olds.

Every week, over 5000 children attend Perform after-school and weekend workshops at venues across London, the South East and South West. The classes focus on developing confidence and social skills in a fun and lively way via the performing arts. With over 15 years of experience, all our teachers are recruited, DBS and reference-checked, trained and employed directly by us.  So, you can be confident that your pupils will be in the very best of hands.

Perform For Schools offer:

Foundation, KS1 and KS2 National Curriculum Explorer Workshops: These popular workshops use children’s natural love of drama, role-play and improvisation to spark their imaginations and stimulate their interest in Foundation, KS1 and KS2 topics. They are available for a wide range of subjects and each one is closely aligned to the National Curriculum. Explorers use imaginative creative resources, performing arts-based exercises and role-play scenarios to provide a new look at traditional subjects.

Easy to set up After School Clubs: individually designed weekly workshops running throughout the term based on a range of themes and designed to help develop confidence and communication skills.

Inspiring Creative Learning and Literacy INSETS: developed to provide a useful set of skills, best practices and resources on the use of drama to inspire creative ways of teaching across the curriculum.

The team have been so helpful in sending through all relevant information prior to workshop. Luke was punctual, and very professional. Friendly and approachable

He engaged well with the younger children and they all had lots of fun! Everything ran very smoothly.

– Amy Tucker

Evie really enjoys the class. I particularly like the emails Amy sends out following each class to parents telling us what the children have focused on.

– Ms Katie Innis

Each time I popped my head through the door, I could see all children engaged and in role experiencing drama first hand. A stimulating approach to teaching children drama. Thank you

– Mrs Emma Speller - Elsenham Primary School

We have always enjoyed Perform coming to our school and leading these drama workshops. James was absolutely brilliant from the word go. On arrival he was very friendly and asked many questions to inform him of the children he would be seeing and protocols we have. He led his workshops with great energy and enthusiasm despite the hot conditions of our hall. The children loved every minute of it!

– Sara Bond

The children were so engaged! They loved every second!

– Ms. J Whittingham

The children were really engaged and excited by the workshop. Claire was very energetic and engaging, and the children responded to her really well. Thank you very much for coming into our school.

– Ms. B Wilson

The sessions were super fun and interactive. Some children were reluctant to join the session, but came bounding out afterwards saying how much they had enjoyed it! Thank you!

– Ms. S Cripps

She was amazing, the children were so engaged and it was very age appropriate. Thank you very much.

– Ms. C Simpkins

I like the fact that the workshop was almost completely prop free - shows how we could innovate stories ourselves too!

– Mrs Sharon James - St Alban's CofE Primary

I have already asked our secretary to retain all of your information so that we can book another next year! Utterly brilliant! I particularly loved the control that Rachel had; she took no nonsense, but at the same time totally enthralled and involved all of the children!
